The heaviness in my chest was still there. My lungs burned as our pace quickened until finally we reached the front of the alley. Once we were out the front door, Ralph slowed down, his face was a mask of emotions, his eyes wild, as he scanned the crowd, as if the five guys that were back in that alley were going to find us in this huge crowd.

Screams. My heart just about stopped when I saw it..... Three guys were coming at Romeo from behind, and he hadn't a clue. One had a knife, another a shotgun, and the third, a crowbar. Honestly, it was a terrible situation. Without even thinking, I acted. One shot, and the guy with the shotgun dropped. Two, the one with the knife went down. Three, the last one spun around and hit the ground. Dead. Romeo glanced back for just a second, our eyes meeting and he gave a quick nod.

I thought Clay might be angry that I knew about the honour code but instead, he barked out a laugh and patted my head lightly, ruffling up my hair. “Good girl.” He said, looking at me with eyes that had suddenly gone wolf. “Now get out of the woods.” Ruth didn’t wait even a single second before she took my hand and we both sprinted out of the woods and into the clearing behind our school. “Fuck!” Ruth cussed as she collapsed onto the ground. “Why is that guy so intimidating? Don’t you feel intimidated by him at all? I could hardly open my mouth in front of him.”

DRE’S P.O.V Ruth lies in the grass, her body unnaturally still. A few girls panic, while others scream for Coach Adams. “She’s not getting up,” I tell Luke, my eyes already tearing up. Luke gets up, takes my hand, and pulls me to the scene. We push through the forming crowd. Everyone talking, no one helping. “Move,” Luke snaps, shoving past someone. When we finally get through, the sight hits harder up close.

The sounds outside were violent. Heavy impacts. Furniture breaking. Growls that didn't sound human anymore. Too close. Too brutal. I should stay back. I knew that. But I couldn't stop myself. I leaned closer. Pressed my ear against the door. More voices joined the chaos. Shouting. Orders. And then... Alpha Dave. Furious. "Take Roland to the healer. Now!" My breath caught. Roland? My hand tightened against the door. That was fast. Too fast. The noise outside changed.

Alek I watched Storm’s countdown, holding my breath as she charged forward so fast that she was almost a blur at the same moment Preston leapt at Liam. I could feel my brother’s panic as his mate grabbed Anton, throwing him into a tree, which knocked him out before leaping at Jebediah, while Preston clawed at Liam. Storm put Jebediah in a headlock, taking him to the ground as the rest of her party finally made it out of the trees. Adam and Abel pulled Preston off Liam as other members of their group subdued Liam, who was bleeding profusely. Galen bypassed all of them in favor of rushing over to Storm to punch Jebediah in the face, making him go limp in Storm’s arms. She let him go to glare a

The Grand Elders also followed closely. “Hmph!” Clarissa knew she was outmatched, but she still fought for her life. Bam! Boom! Thud! Explosions resounded continuously throughout the camp. Clarissa was clearly no match and quickly found herself at a severe disadvantage. Then... Bam! Roland took the opportunity to land a punch on her shoulder. Clarissa felt as if she had been struck by a mountain and was instantly sent flying. “Pfft—”

As we enter the living room, we're met with chaos. A completely naked girl is running around, causing a scene until she suddenly sees us, stops in her tracks, turns pale, and hides behind the couch. "Romeo, why didn't you tell me there were other people here?" the girl shrieks, clearly irritated. A shirtless Rocky looks at us with a mischievous glint in his eye, fighting back a laugh. Owen, on the other hand, shoots him a death glare. This isn't going to end well at all.

But I couldn't even express that because we weren't saved yet. I hurriedly stood from where I was, walked slowly to my mother, and crouched next to her while I watched Romeo. "You bastard!" Romeo yelled, straddling Lance, "That's my sister you're hitting!" Romeo landed several punches on Lance's face until the latter took control of the situation. He rolled both of them around, until he was now sitting on top of Romeo. Lance spat out blood, pressing his hand on Romeo's neck. Romeo gasped for breath, his eyes bulging out.

When Ethan was coming for a second one, Nathan slammed him on the floor sending down punches. Ethan moved his wings shooting away form the ground to the ceiling out the now open hole, Nathan clawed on his wings making him lose balance the crashed heavily in the woods. Arnold and Mark race out of the room to the field with the junior wolves. From so high William and the others could see through the glass, the giant trees falling and dust creeping up in the air forming dusty clouds in the area. "Stop the fight." William said to Tomramas not taking his eyes off the fight far away.
