As Andrew left the room, headed for a challenging conversation with Alpha Troy, Elvie clung to her optimism, envisioning the radiant future they were destined to build together. Her eyes sparkled with the anticipation of the life that awaited her as Luna of the pack. "Tomorrow," she exclaimed with a radiant smile, "I will finally become the Luna." Elizabeth, equally thrilled, chimed in, "And we'll be living in that magnificent mansion!" Jasmine, always the pragmatic one, raised a valid concern, "But what if Alpha Troy insists on Mara living with us in the mansion too?"

she muttered beneath her breath before tightly shutting her eyes for a brief moment to calm herself. Seconds later, Aurora reopened her eyes and cautiously scanned the entire room, making sure no hidden eyes were watching her from the shadows, and more importantly, making sure the abandoned house was truly empty. “Pfft…” she exhaled before taking more careful steps deeper into the house and heading straight toward her father’s study. The bookshelves were covered in thick layers of dust while rats had already chewed through some of the old books. Back then, Aurora’s father used to grow small medicinal plants inside clay vases around the study, but now every single plant had long dried up and

The scent of fresh flowers from the garden drifted in through the slightly open balcony doors, mixing with the faint smell of new furniture and polished wood. A polished timber table filled the center, surrounded by high-backed chairs carved with ancestral wolf motifs. Jason and Nathan stood at one end, flanked by Lucas, the town planner and the accountant, Mrs.. Crawford, whose leather satchel bulged with papers. Aurora, newly returned from the Kindy meeting, slipped into her chair beside Nathan, Angel curled against her. Mia sat opposite, Malcolm on her lap.
