The Owl House King's Tide Novels & Stories

Harris turned to Nyra. "Take care of him." She smiled. "I'll try." The old man chuckled. "He's stubborn, but he's got a good heart." Awww Kaizen looked away, embarrassed. After one last wave, Mr. Harris climbed into his old pickup truck. He drove only a short distance before stopping beneath a large oak tree. He frowned thoughtfully. "The estate should know the young master came home..." He pulled out his phone. His fingers typed slowly…. Young Master Kaizen is staying at the lakeside cottage. He seems healthy. Please inform the estate manager.

How is the whole room not laughing their assess off as the king's voice. The moon trial goes exactly how we all thought it would. Both beasts confirmed the other as their mate. As the King was mauling over the idea, he kept looking at me. I am very uncomfortable, and Stacey is not talking, but rather shying away like a scared pup. “Allow me to inspect you both,” the King gets off his throne and carefully inspects Joshua and Lucas. “I deem them fated mates. Be happy my children.” Everyone seems to be overjoyed. There is cheering.

“An… an omega? But… how?” “I don’t know!” Kaelen burst out, his voice a raw, frustrated snarl. “The Moon Goddess in her infinite wisdom has decided to play a cruel joke on me. She has tied me, the King of the Lycans, to a terrified nineteen-year-old kitchen maid from Silver Creek!”

"But watching him on the wire just now... listening to his voice crack as he threatened to erase my bloodline? It was beautiful. You’ve turned the King into a beggar, sweetheart." I stared right through him, my expression a mask of absolute calm. "If you think a piece of paper is going to buy you his empire, you don’t know Karlo at all. He will give you nothing but an early grave." Marco’s smile didn't fade,it only sharpened. "Oh, it's not just my plan, Della. I’m simply the one hosting the party. You see, an old friend of yours helped pave the way for last night's little breach. He was more than happy to share the blueprints of the Valtteri estate's eastern blind spots."

⸻ The Observers’ Vigil Back at the palace, the four men watched intently. The King’s gaze lingered on the forest canopy, a subtle smile playing on his lips as he noted Allie’s ingenuity. Thom’s eyes narrowed, focusing on the thicket where Iris had disappeared, a sense of familiarity tugging at him. Mike chuckled softly, impressed by Bella’s audacity to use the bog as cover. The High Commander, ever vigilant, scanned the riverbanks, noting the disturbance in the water—a sign of Aurora’s passage. “They’re resourceful,” the King remarked, his voice tinged with admiration.

I already made sure Mikhail, Veleno, Kaia and Salvador were not informed about what was going on right now since I don’t know who the betrayer was. The king raised his arm, perched on it was a massive hawk. The creature’s wings were enormous, its golden eyes glowed under the moonlight. The king whispered something softly in a language I didn’t recognize, then he released it. The hawk launched into the sky, its wings cut through the air as it soared high above the estate, circling once…. twice….. We all waited, then the bird suddenly tilted downward. The king’s eyes narrowed. “It sees movement.” “Remind me to get an hawk, it works faster than a drone. Everything is not technology this days.”

I swear the metallic taste of blood still lingers in my mouth. Marek grabs my hand, using his spare one to cradle my head. "You're not, alright? This looks like a flesh wound." "You need to go, before you make Tai angry," I insist, looking at the King's back. His paitence will wear thin, and he will have Marek imprisoned again, except this time, it won't be so easy to strike a deal with him. Marek looks over his shoulder grimly, knowing I'm right. "Meet me on the forest line in three days. You should feel better by then."

"I'll make sure you have everything you need, Amelia. I'll make sure your cage is always clean and comfortable, I’ll also try to bring you fresh berries every morning, and maybe some mealworms if you like those? I've heard owls love mealworms. “Oh you better don’t. What happened to chicken?” I spat, “you better let her know I don’t eat worms if you don’t want vomit on your important documents.” I hoot at Kealen. “I’m beginning to think you’ll be fine in my tummy after all…” “What’s that supposed to mean?” I sneered at him. “It means, I can dispose of you whenever I want, so behave yourself and stay away from any papers. I’ll tell her not to feed you worms but if you dare act like a spoilt pr

“No, no, Your Majesty, forgive me. The guards—I was told to—Well, the omega…” “What happened to the omega?” The King found his shoulders pulling taut at the thought of his omega being in danger. Lachlan mentally shook his head. ‘Not my omega.’ “The omega requested a chance outside of his room. He wants to see the trees and watch birds and pick flowers.” Lachlan craned his head, confusion marring his expression. “He wants to see the trees and watch birds?” Who on earth wanted to do those things? The king thought to himself.
