Ghost on the highway
My pulse hammered so hard I thought they could hear it.
“Riven,” Bishop sneered, voice smooth and terrifying, “your time has run out.”
“You’ll pay,” I growled, jaw tight. “Every single one of you.”
Luca grabbed my hand, gripping it like a lifeline. “Riven… I’m with you.”
I nodded, swallowing the fear twisting in my chest. “Stay close.”

I lunged forward, grabbing the glowing spark plug. Derek shot, and I twisted, narrowly avoiding the bullet. Sparks flew across the floor. Flames roared louder, dancing closer, feeding on the wood and gasoline littered around us.
