I don't know if it was curiosity or a supernatural connection. The door creaked as I stepped inside. The scent of him still lingered in the air, strong with something darker. It felt like a warning but I didn't adhere to it. Instead, I moved swiftly. I moved toward the shelf where I’d first seen the burnt book, my fingers trembling as I reached for the stack. I searched through the first stack, then the second and found nothing. “It should be here,” I told myself as I searched through it again. “Looking for something?” The voice struck me like a whip.

The book I was reading wasn't in sight, so I went exploring the shelves until I found it at the top. I opened it and began searching for information about my strange kidnapper and my nephew's father. It was then that I came across a title that caught my attention: “The Rise of Harvey Bloodclaw.”

I slip it from the rest, concealing it behind me. "It's alright, we don't care either way if you read it," he says, vacuous, without gazing upward from his undertaking. I move over to his side, noticing now the genuine likenesses between Felix and Liam; their almost indistinguishable looks aside from the scar and the hair. Aiden, rummaging through a chest in the corner, muttered, “This feels like a waste of time. If there was something here, we’d have found it already.” I ignored him, running my fingers along the spines of the books. Most were dull titles on pack history and strategy, but one stood out, a journal with a faded leather cover. I pulled it free, flipping through the pages, but they were blank. Frustration was beginning to set in when something caught my eye. A faint glimmer from inside one of the desk drawers. “Wait,” I said, crouching down. “What is it?” Axel asked, abandoning his search to join me.

I'm going crazy," she scolded herself, trying to focus on reading the book. As she immersed herself in the book, the room's unsettling atmosphere seemed to fade, replaced by the intriguing words on the pages. Aleah couldn't help but feel a mix of curiosity and frustration about Hunter. He was a puzzle she wanted to solve, yet his enigmatic nature left her feeling uncertain. The anticipation of their next conversation lingered in her mind, making it difficult to concentrate fully on the book.

‘The hunters’ was all it said on the front, the same book Kyan and Zekan had spent days looking for. I quickly dashed out of the library and headed straight to see Talon. I pushed his heavy doors open to see him sitting in his large chair looking thoughtfully as Zekan and Kyan both sat at the centre table. They all looked straight at me as I bounded into the room. “I found this!” I rushed out as I held out the book to Talon. He looked at it as his eyes widened. “The book about the hunters!” He breathed out as he took it from me. Both Kyan and Zekan stood up from their seats in surprise.

He nodded towards the shelves filled with books, "Let's search, shall we?" The extensive search began. After browsing through several books, Erica cried, "Found it!" Xavier who was on the opposite end of the shelf and had climbed the ladder to search the top shelves climbed down. He walked up to her and leaned over her shoulder. She glanced at him, her eyes were gleaming with excitement before her gaze went back to the book in her hands. "It's mainly about Auras. I was looking for something just like this,", she commented as she flipped the pages, skimming through the contents. "That's good".

Her eyes fell on a book with a black cover, the gold letters reading: “The Art of Breaking Chains.” She pulled it free, curiosity winning, and curled into his leather chair. The chair was far too big for her, swallowing her small frame, but she felt oddly safe in it. Before she realized, her eyelids grew heavy. The book slipped onto her lap as she drifted into sleep. Hunter returned late, his mood thunderous after the ring, after Geret. His mind was sharp, his body burning with violence he hadn’t been able to unleash fully. But the instant he stepped into the quiet house, he sought her.

' Alexis claimed. “Sweet” she heard him say, she looked up, blushing all red. She got back to arranging the study room, and he watched her intensively. When she was done searching, she excused herself to seek the book.
