I carefully placed the book back and was about to leave when my curiosity got the best of me. I sat on the floor and leaned on the shelf but as I suspected, there really wasn’t a secret door and it had all been a dream. I was about to stand up when I felt the book move and suddenly I was falling into the black space just like my dream. In a few seconds I was thrown into a room and I landed with a thud. With fear creeping into my shaking body I looked up and behold it was exactly like in the dream. The shelves held the exact books and as I flipped over it was still written in that language I couldn’t understand.

His mom even sent him, double the amount they had agreed upon for Phil's allowance as an apology, which made Phil happy a little bit. Phil read the book of dreams as the TV was playing just to see if there are more secrets hidden inside of it, he flipped the pages and looked at every page to see how thick it was just to see if there was something hidden inside it, he tried using the light coming out from the TV to see the contents of every page. But sadly he discovered nothing.

“Plus, this. Gotta walk the talk.” The book title was: How to Be an Effective Secret Lover. Serena laughed her heart out. She was so amused her eyes watered. “Seriously, you need a guide for that?” “I like to be thorough,” Nathaniel seriously said. “This… is uncharted territory.”

I raised an eyebrow, needing to have it all laid out. I knew, somewhere deep down, that I should ask more questions. But in the moment, I repeated the one that mattered to me most. “I’m not a secret anymore?” “Not from Beth.” I saw the faintest hint of conflict in his eyes. Even so, hearing the words again felt like a forklift had just been lifted off of my soul. Beth knew. Danny chose me. I was no longer a secret. Between that… the relief that my earlier insecurity was proven wrong… and the way the mate bond sparks pulled at me… I was a goner.

Her heart pounded so hard it hurt. Outside, thunder rumbled softly — a low warning that crawled through the air. She clutched the note, the words burning into her palm. Some secrets don’t stay buried. For a second, she thought she saw movement outside the window — a silhouette by the gate. But when she blinked, it was gone.

I got on the elevator and pressed button 29 to go to his room, then wrung my hands out of nervousness and fear. You can, Agnes. Strengthen yourself; you can definitely do it. That's what I said to myself while waiting for the elevator door to open. Ting! My thoughts were broken when the elevator doors opened to reveal a luxurious red velvet carpet. I walked along the carpet until I met a fairly large room, and there was Rachel, Davero's secretary. He smiled warmly to greet me. "Wanna meet Pak Dave, huh?" he asked, and I nodded in response. "Come in; he's been waiting," he said, making me smile sadly.
