Jake immediately looked up at Kate's face Instead. Hi good evening. Good evening too Kate replied. What are you doing here? Kate asked again the same question. I just passed to see how you are. Kate smelled Jake’s perfume. His perfume smell’s so nice, so masculine but mild and irresistible.

He firmly believes his Children should be perfect, especially his youngest daughter, Winter Fox. But Winter Amey is a stubborn young lady who tends to do the opposite of what her parents expect her to; like, right now, She's eating food that makes her gain weight. According to her mother, She was to eat only salad and Juice in the morning. Her parents are perfectionists and tend to disregard their wishes. Dodge had only caught a glimpse, and it was entirely by accident, of the wildfire which now raced ahead of them and could hardly believe that a woman that young looked so much like a goddess. “Enough,” Thomas replied dryly, pulling Dodge from his thoughts that made Dodge readjust himself in his saddle. “You make this sound as if you never go after her,” Wayne added in. I stepped under the canopy of the trees and it felt so much cooler under here. Even in the evening, the temperature difference was staggering. Listening to Dallas, I strolled through the trees for a while before I shifted. When I did, I shook out my fur and raced through the trees. On this side, I knew there was river that wove its way down through the area. There was also one on the other side. Both came from the mountain. Which was why the pack was called Blue Mountain.

~CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTEEN~ I step out of the car, and the air is thick. It’s not just the heat, it’s the sound. Moans come from every direction, echoing off the pavement and the parked cars. It’s loud, raw, and completely unapologetic. I turn to the security guard who drove us here, my voice tight. "Do you have any idea what’s happening? Is it like this every night?" He clears his throat, looking everywhere but at me. "I’m sorry, ma’am. I don't know the specifics, but it’s called a 'sin party.'”

"Come on, Joanna, say something!" The sting of Silvia's pinch snapped me back to reality. Her freshly manicured nails dug into my arm, leaving a visible mark. Biting back the urge to retaliate, I managed a weak smile. "Sure. After all your misfires, you're bound to hit the jackpot." Silvia seemed puzzled by my lack of urgency, unlike before, when I would be all over the place, desperate to bring her home. "Joanna, you're a med student. Don't those red spots on him look like some nasty bug?"

Lightning stepped forward, clapping a hand on my shoulder. "Good job," he said, his voice low and firm. "The Wild Ridge doesn't tolerate betrayal." As the group started to disperse, I felt a hand on my arm. I turned to see Jax. "You good?" he asked quietly. I nodded again, though the weight of the day was starting to settle in. "Yeah. I'm good." Jax smiled as he said, "Well, go get cleaned up then. You actually look like death!" He eyed me up and down, amusement flickering in his eyes.

It wasn’t every day I got to see the Savage himself at one of these races. I tilted my head skyward, spotting rows upon rows of werewolves lining the rooftops of the buildings–the onyx sky dappled with the brilliant glow of their eyes. It was a kaleidoscope of color as they peered around, leaving warped, mystical shapes in their wake. My attention snagged toward a woman standing a few people to our left, raising her candy-red blouse and flashed her chest toward the bikers. Her shrill voice carried over the crowd despite the noise as she shouted, “Savage! Hey Savage! Look here, baby!”
