I stowed the little black box in my pocket and finished tearing the blouse from my arm, leaving it exposed. "There are some bones and muscles in our bodies that even with transformation don't change completely, they just grow." Then, coming back I lightly squeezed my finger to feel the shape of the muscle. "This way you can feel the contour the muscle makes next to the skin and how it wraps around the bone." I could see their eyes paying attention to my every move.

As the warmth of the bath seeped through her, Hannah's gaze drifted down to her arm and she paused, caught sight of how pale her skin looked in the soft bathroom light. She raised her hand, turning it slowly as knit brows creased her face when she seemed to see the faint lines of veins beneath the surface, tracing up from her wrist to her elbow like a web.
