"College at Western, then I came back to start my ranch. That's about it." Abby raised an eyebrow. "Really?" "I don't want to talk about me, though. I'm boring." He sipped his water. "Tell me about you." Abby wondered where to start. She thought again about Beauty and the Beast, when the Beast had ordered Belle to eat with him and she'd refused. In the fairy tale, she hadn't refused, but instead had gone to dinner with him. At dinner each night, he'd asked her to marry him. And every time, she refused—until one night when she didn't.

I'm so hungry that I could eat two horses. I sat on the bed, yawning loudly. As I turned, I saw the mysterious man from that night, staring at me. My heart began beating faster as his gaze was intense. “Sleeping Beauty just woke up.” He said with a smile on his lips, as he stood up and headed toward the bed where I lay. I gripped the blankets in fear, pulling it up to my chin.

Noah Rapunzel and I kept caressing one another until she fell asleep. On the other hand, I couldn’t sleep. What she had told me today and what I had witnessed with her mother made me start looking at the situation with another mindset. The princess of our land was said to be very beautiful before she got kidnapped by an old wicked witch and ever since then, no one had been able to see her. The princess had magical healing powers too and all who touched her found this healing. The people of the town, celebrated her birthday every year and that was why candles were lit up in the sky to appease her innocent soul.

I stammered and swallowed hard. "Are you sure? Come on, Beauty, you can't hide this from me. . . As far as I know, your sister is on her honeymoon, and you are under my care. I'm your sister, too! I should be the first person to know what's going on." Bobita's eyes twinkled. He is waiting for my answer. I avoided his gaze and turned around. "I like this one. Can I try this, right?" I change the topic and fake a smile, holding the golden black gown in hand.

Pouting, I could tell she was close to crying, “Just read it to me, mama.” I took the book from her, it was titled Sleeping Beauty, and then I started reading, “Once upon a time, in a far-off kingdom, a beautiful princess named Aurora (also known as Briar Rose) was placed under a sleeping curse by a wicked fairy named Maleficent. The curse was meant to punish the king and queen for not inviting Maleficent to the princess's christening.” I paused and then continued.

Hope’s POV When I was younger, mother would read me the tale of Sleeping Beauty. I loved how the beautiful princess who was cursed to fall into deep slumber would be saved and awakened by her true love’s kiss. It was only much later that I found out about the original version of the story. Yes, Sleeping Beauty fell into a deep sleep. But she was not awakened by a handsome young prince. Instead, in her sleep, she was raped and impregnated by an old, evil king. There was no happy ending for Sleeping Beauty.

She turned to notice that she had woken Anna up from sleep. "Baby, did I wake you up from sleep?" Bianca asked the girl who tried to explain to her that she wanted to use the toilet. Bianca soon tucked the girl into bed after helping her put on comfortable nightwear. Anna was finding it arduous to sleep so Bianca decided to tell her the story of Sleeping beauty, mainly the part where the prince came to rescue the princess. "Did you know that she was saved by a prince, baby? He was strong, handsome, and full of fragrance just like your father, hahhahha!" Bianca said with daydreaming eyes.

“I’m sorry, little princess.” Delian gingerly caressed Althaea’s plump cheeks as she snuggled with a blue monster plush, drifting through a dream-filled sleep. “Don’t worry, she has no idea,” Danae spoke from behind him, her approaching steps light to not wake her daughter. “But she was upset that her Prince Charming had to leave early. She even threatened him that she was going to sleep forever like Sleeping Beauty until he came back.” Danae giggled at the memory. “So what happened back there, Del?”

I'd hurt her too much to be her fairytale prince to plant her the wake up kiss. I whispered into mother's ears, "Mother, that story you told me about Sleeping Beauty when I was a kid, any resemblance with the case we have on ground?" Mother pressed me a puzzled look. "Really? Sleepy Beauty and Iris? Shoot me, Gustav." "Well, I was only thinking," I shrugged. "There seem to be quite some similarities between the fairytale and Iris'... tale." "That's fiction, boy. Grow up." Mother sank herself into the cushion facing the bed.
