"Sandy and I were stuck at work earlier. If Baron hadn't shown up in time, we'd have ended up just like you." Of course. The moment the storm hit, the first person my husband thought to pick up was her. It was as if I did not even exist. No wonder she looked so pleased with herself. I lifted my head, forcing back the sting in my eyes, and took the towel from him, casually drying myself. "It's fine. It only started raining halfway through my walk. There wasn't anywhere to call you from." My calmness seemed to catch Baron off guard. He studied me carefully, then frowned.

Everyone watched in silence. Orion gestured toward the vision. "Everything we know began with a story." The stars drifted slowly above them. "The Heart's story." The silver sphere brightened faintly. "The Sovereigns' story." The First Queen lowered her gaze. "The world's story." The vision continued unfolding. Creation. Life. Civilizations. History. Everything they had ever known. Then Orion raised a finger. The memory stopped. Frozen. "That story has one problem." Silence. The forgotten Sovereign looked upward.

The place where this story had truly begun. And somehow... The place where their invisible enemy wanted the next chapter to unfold.

Tomorrow awaited them. And with it… One final journey back to where their story had first begun.
