My very being lost its sense. The feeling of ecstasy that was bestowed upon me is remarkable. The dedication of us for each other is clear. I closed my eyes and let myself lose in that holy euphoria… *** Finally having a feeling of eminent solace filled me. I rested my chin on the hard chest of my husband as he continued to move his hand gently from my shoulder to my back then back again to my shoulder. A feeling of intense affection and rapture is rushing in my veins. The freedom from every turmoil is giving me a sensation of sweet serenity. The state of content I am in is unexplainable.

I once again drown in the feelings of my mate. Delicious, exquisite rapture. I know time has passed, I’ve seen the sun come up and the sun go down. I know that our emotions caused the elements around us to react, having seen the waterspout spinning around us, as if I was on the ground looking up at it. And then there were the flames that danced around the waterspout, heating me with steam that caressed my skin in the few places that Ancalagon wasn’t.

Jane's POV What goes around comes back around right? I never thought they were talking about Monday's though. Unlike any other Monday, today I welcomed it differently. Why? Maybe because the sun affects me differently today, any other Monday would be a mournday, not today. The sun rose like it should, melting the darkness away, giving life to brilliant shades to every being making me eager to dig further into Monday. "I wonder how bad will his mood be today" I smiled and the flow of my thoughts suddenly stopped. What is wrong with me?

The sun rose as it always did to show that the world did not revolve around me and my mishaps. It seemed to shine even brighter that day, just rubbing it on my face. I felt like a shell filled with nothing but the worst feelings ever. I could not even breathe in without it exploding in so much pain. I could not blink, the hole inside me getting wider yet I had to get up just as the sun rose. I went and took a shower, spacing out so many times it was alarming.

Two of the things I wasn’t sure I was ever going to get back. I set the stand facing the ocean; I knew what emotion I wanted to draw. I knew what I felt when I watched the sun go up and down, exactly that up and down. Up when I remembered the love I shared with Ash, my children, my family. Everything I had gained after all that I had lost. Down when I saw how much more I had lost after Ash left me. And how much more I would lose if Sabrina and Baku didn’t die soon. The sunrise and the sunset illustrated my life perfectly.

“I wonder how it’ll feel when the mate bond is complete, because you’re already overpowering to me.” He’d taken my hand, then, and turned my palm up so that he could draw the shape of the sun with a lone fingertip. “When I’m near you, I feel warm. It’s dizzying, sometimes, the heat, but it’s like sunshine on a windy day, then, and the cool breeze and the sunshine together swirl around me, twisting around my body. It’s intoxicating. Is this mine? “Tears have no place here,” He kills me when he says that.

I didn't feel the burn and my eyes didn't sting. "Does that mean I haven't become a vampire yet? Does it take days? How many days will it take for me to become like you?” He asked, "Am I burning under the sun?" "No." Thinking about that, I noticed him walking in the sun as if he didn't care. I asked him, "Is this some kind of evolution? Does this mean I can also randomly walk under the sun after I become a vampire?" He sighed and said, "You're not turning into anything."

The golden streak from the sun embraces us as he dives into my sweaty body and welcomes me with his warm hands. I can feel the emotions bottling in his body as he waited for this moment to happen. I don’t know what to do but to pat his back and soothe his feelings. “ I thought I will lose him too…fuck…I’m too scared baby…I thought I lose him too,” he mentioned as I felt his shoulders tense and move. As I stay there, I look up at the sun and question its light. Is it worth it? Is everything of this worth it? Because even though he wasn’t saying anything, I felt like I already know what he is talking about.

It was there, plain as the sun in the sky, in the rigid line of his shoulders, hard as a city skyline; present in his shallow breaths, in the vein bursting in his temple. “I don’t either,” I said. “I wish I did, but I don’t.” The ice between us melted, and I burst through its remains, taking his warm hands in mine. I could see clearer, all of a sudden, as though the fog had faded and the sun had broken through the bloated clouds. Struck by a sudden sense of poetry, I murmured, “It’s like you’re the sun: full of light and warmth. You’re safe.” He huffed, but his smile broadened. “The sun is hot. Are you saying I’m hot, Cals?”
