We all look up to see the sky covered in thousands and thousands of black dots. "Professor Runn," Headmaster Noah shouts. "Yes," Professor Runn asks, running to the headmaster's side. "I want to be sure," the Headmaster starts, "But those are three different animal swarms. Right?" Professor Runn adjusts his glasses as he leans forward to see the swarms better. "Wait," Headmistress Amaya says. "Did you just say 'three different swarms'?" "He's right," Runn says, leaning back. "I see crorvid and aggridid and even dipteric. But how is that possible?"

I looked at Kaelen, the cold dread returning to my surgically precise mind. "That was a scout," Kaelen rumbled, his cosmic eyes locking onto the glowing riverbed. "The swarm is here."

"I didn't know. I really didn't..." "Captain!" An officer jogged over, holding up my alarm device. "Found it." Captain Larsen hit play. "It's just me lending out your battery. You're seriously calling the cops over that?" Hampton's voice blasted through the speakers. "Woo. Three points." Then the rest rolled out. Every word crystal clear. "Where's my medication?" "Juliet, don't be like that. I saw you only had two pills left. It looked... kind of sad. So I swapped them for the vitamins I take..."
