Lovers For The Blood Moon
Sarah gasped, reaching down, “John!”
He looked up, pain on his face. “Do it without me.”
Her legs shook but she rose. She placed her hand on the throne, her touch sent waves of energy outward, the throne convulsed, its faces twisting in agony.
She pressed harder, her spiral mark flared gold.
Then something ancient spoke.
“She is not rightful. The throne obeys only the blood of the original bearer.”
Sarah’s skin cracked. Black veins spread. Her scream echoed.
John roared, pushing himself upright, but the blow knocked him back, darkness swallowed his vision.
