ALPHA HUGO’S OFFICE Alpha Jude burst into Alpha Hugo’s office, clutching an old, worn book to his chest. His face was stern, eyes frantic. “Alpha Hugo! I found this book!” he gasped, rushing to the desk and slamming it down. “Look, it says the curse can be killed!” “Really?” Alpha Hugo’s reply was calm, almost disinterested, too slow, too measured for the panic that had caused the Alpha instructors. Everyone was going mad and the Academy was in chaos.

The heavy oak door swung open to reveal a vaulted archive lined with ironbound tomes, their titles flaking like old paint. Chancellor Beren emerged from the gloom, robes stained with dust. His voice trembled. “Your Highness, no one has entered these vaults in decades. The tomes here… they carry curses.” Selene glanced at Nyra as she stepped forward. “We have no choice. Our people are suffering.” Ryker placed a hand on Beren’s shoulder. “We need knowledge—any weapon against Selira.” Beren swallowed, eyes darting to the shelves. “There is one volume… bound in demon‑hide. It speaks of pacts with void‑born spirits. But the price…” His voice trailed off.

This feels weird, choking, and uncomfortable. “Titan is the name of the big Alpha. The one you were chasing after,” the young lady smiles at me. Oh. That is the name of the Caveman. How can someone who has a beastly nature bear a unique name as his? Gazing at the young lady, “How did you find out his name? He is mute and can’t speak. I doubt he has the ability to hear words.” “He isn't deaf, nor is he mute. He can hear and speak,” she tells me.

Ansel started laughing wickedly as he walked away with the other rogues who had survived the fight. Titus returned Tyler’s look. “Hey. Just look at me. Don’t close your eyes, okay? I will rescue you. You will not die. I promise.” Titus couldn’t keep his tears from falling. “Just wait for me; I’ll cure you.” He is not sure how, but he will figure it out.

Ethan's phone slipped from his grasp as he muttered in disbelief, "It's impossible... It can't be..." My eyes brimmed with tears as I said hoarsely, "Not possible? Heidi is dead! She was left in the wilderness and torn apart by wolves!" He jerked his head up, his eyes wild with panic. "What are you saying? Heidi's fine. Stop lying to me!" "Lying? Why would I lie about this?" I screamed, my heart aching, "Why did you leave Heidi alone in the car that day? Why did you abandon her in the middle of nowhere?"

God, his eyes were silver and they glowed in the dark. That was no other than Alpha King Kael Draven. He walked around me in a circle, like a predator studying it's prey. "What's your name?" His voice was deep and cold. "Elira." My voice cracked. "Elira." He said it slowly. "Do you know what I do to trespassers?" I should have begged, I should have cried, but instead, I whispered, "Just kill me please." I would prefer to be killed by a total stranger than to die at the hands of Garrick's men.

Monster. “P-please,” She choked on a sob. “L-let me g-go, please!” I was a fucking monster. 'You are cursed.' A voice started. 'You will never know what it feels like to fall in love or be loved.' 'You shall kill your own mate with your bare hands.' 'You will never know peace as long as you live. You will question your own existence.' 'I curse you, Kaizen Cage!' I immediately took my hands off of Aurora's neck, watching emotionlessly as she fell to the ground trying to catch her breath. She scooted away from me, watching me with wide terrified eyes.

Drake turned to motion towards Angel, "My dear friend here is very hungry if you can give him something to eat, I will gladly get rid of any monsters you wish.” “We don’t have much but if you can kill those damn monsters we can certainly spare something.” They looked up to see an older version of the little girl holding a rifle. “Names Alexis Romanov and she’s my little sister, Akilina. Come in and we’ll talk.” Drake stood up, “That would be good.” He turns toward Angel again and holds out his hand. Angel walks ahead of Drake and they follow the girls into the Cabin.
