The Toast Surprise Novels & Stories

Even though the eggs have little flavor and the sausage is a bit on the burnt side, the toast definitely makes up for it, even without butter. I'm the first to finish eating, and I take my tray up to the counter and hand it off to be washed. The woman who takes my tray away to be washed gives me a look of pity, and I try not to feel uncomfortable about it. "I hope that monster gets what's coming to him," she says, her voice barely above a whisper. One of the ladies nearby nods her head in agreement, and I duck away from the counter before they can all start agreeing with one another.

The boss yelled at Jane and I. The boss loosened his tie as I noticed he had begun to sweat from the yelling and begging. He took a bottle of prescribed pills ,took one out and tossed it in his mouth. Jane was surprised by what she heard and looking at the way that I was looking at the floor she could tell it was correct. “Since both of you have caused me this deal, both of you are fired as of now, so get out of my company."The boss announced. Jane and I gasped as I looked up instantly and stook my head frantically.

I reached the top of the roof while my mouth opened widely, seeing how bright it was. There was a party going on there, and it was filled with fewer people, which made it look more fun. "Oh my!" Oh, it escaped from my mouth on seeing how beautiful the place was. A waiter who was walking around with a tray filled with wine offered me to take one, and I did. I gulped down everything and dropped the cup on the nearest stand. I remembered that I was single again! Ryan gave me the termination contract, which I was so happy to sign, but at the same time I was sad.

I hiss. The toast’s burning. I scramble, fumbling for the cancel button but it’s too late. Smoke’s already curling up. I reach for it, ready to pull the damn thing out before the fire alarm starts beeping— “Hey. Move.” Rico’s voice. I blink. He’s already beside me, unplugging the toaster and yanking the toast out with a fork. He fans the smoke with a magazine and then drops the ruined bread into the trash. I’m still standing there. Hand halfway in the air.

"Finish it! If you dare spit it out when Mr. Kensington gets here, I'll throw you into the underground club and let every man there take turns with you!" After forcing more than half the bottle down my throat, Mason finally let go. I lay face down on the floor, retching, my throat burning. My vocal cords felt like they had been torn, and I could barely make a sound. Gabriel sounded uneasy. "Mr. Donovan, if she can't speak when Mr. Kensington arrives—" Mason glanced at him. "Even better. That saves us from having to listen to her nonsense." He crouched back down and grabbed my right hand. "Your fingers look nice."

It wasn’t supposed to feel this easy. “Hey, stop zoning out on me,” Scout’s voice broke through my thoughts, making me blink and refocus. He was leaning against the counter, a smirk tugging at his lips as he held up a piece of toast. “You know, I made this just for you.” I raised an eyebrow. “Uh, thanks?” He held it out for me, and I eyed it suspiciously. “What? You’re not even gonna taste it first?” he teased. “I spent five minutes on this toast, Bella. The least you can do is appreciate it.”

I simply said observing the dish on the table which looked delicious that I wasn't able to wait for. "You don't like them?" She instantly uttered in interest, with a glass of mango shake on her hand. "How could I not love something you love, Debra? I love them, don't worry." I said as I start my first bite of toast with butter. I closed my eyes and took a long breath in happiness as the taste of toast was melting on my tongue. Debra and Teresa were grinning, watched me munching the toast heartily. Even Debra was enjoying today's breakfast wearing the most beautiful smile on her lips. I wish to keep this smile of yours forever.

Later, their food had arrived. "Wow, this looks all yummy." Ivy and Ivanna flattered. They were easily amazed by certain things. Ash and Ezekiel were just watching them being impressed. "Try this lobster." Ivy puts into Ezekiel's plates. Ezekiel was shocked but same time happy. "Thank you for inviting me to have lunch with you" Ivy said. "You should thank Ezekiel." Ash said, smiling. Ivy smiled and turned to see Ezekiel who was watching her eating. "Thank you." she said, smiling.

she said and sat down next to Rocco. “Damn. How did you make those?” I said in awe, when I saw the toast. The egg was literally incorporated into the bread in shapes of hearts, bells and little trees. And the waffles were green and cut so that they looked like Christmas trees, as well. She’d even decorated them with Smarties. “Chef’s secret,” she smirked and pretend-zipped her lips. Jakehad already stuffed his mouth full, but I was hesitant. “You don’t like it?” Catherine asked, worried.

He is way bigger and taller than the type I usually ogle at the bar, but then again, so is Dior. "This is so tasty!" Finn licks his fingers before turning to face me, wide-eyed and on the prowl for more toast. I honestly don't understand where the food is disappearing—I've never seen him use the toilet. I sigh and hand him the plate with my luxurious toast. "Fine! You can have my Patricia special with cheese and tomato. I will make myself another toast, I suppose."
