Attempt two: scrambled mess pretending to be poached. Attempt three… surprisingly decent. Slightly off-center, but it held together like it had a purpose. I clapped. “You made a lopsided cloud. It’s cute.” “I don’t do cute,” he muttered. “Too late. You just did.” He stared at the egg. “It’s uneven.” “It’s edible,” I corrected, grinning. As the eggs drained on paper towels, I plated the toast—smashed avocado, a squeeze of lemon, chili flakes, sea salt. Adrian joined with cherry tomatoes, fresh parsley, and—of course—a bottle of sriracha.

“I’ve got class, so I need to go catch a shower. We’re already like fifteen minutes late on our regular Thursday schedule. Quick breakfast - toasties?” I nodded, looking over at the clock beside my bed and seeing she was right. “Toasties it is,” I said, our little ritual when we were running late was that whoever got downstairs first put the coffee on and made toast, putting out the jam and peanut butter. That had developed into making ‘toasties’, which was three slices of bread with PB and J between two slices, and Nutella between that and the top. It was gross and sugary and delicious and required us to do an additional workout every week.

“You have to make dinosaur toast. I won’t eat otherwise.” I stared at Zane, then at him. “You think I’m under contract with Jurassic Park?” Ash started the whining again. “DINO BREAD!” Zane only smiled. “I wanna see you say no.” I sighed and reached for the knife. With a precision that might have earned applause from Gordon Ramsay, I hacked the toast into a budget T-Rex. Not perfect, but good enough for a three-year-old brain. I set the dinosaur toast on Ash’s plate. “Congratulations. You now own a gluten-free T-Rex.”

I’d never experienced anything quite like it. After dinner was dessert, and by the end of it, I was thoroughly stuffed. I leaned back in my chair, giving JACE room to clear away the dishes. Once he was finished, I refilled our wine glasses from the bottle and lifted mine in the air. “What should we toast to?” I asked Kaelen. His brows dipped in thought. “To surprises—the good kind.” “I can drink that.” I clinked my glass against Kaelen’S and took a sip.

A little giggle slipped from my lips, and I caught the attention of those midnight eyes. For the first time, I saw doubt crack through his mask, and I thought: this is my moment. “Egg whites. Just whites... no yolk, no butter, nothing. And that sourdough... dry. ‘Avocado toast,’ they call it, like that name’s supposed to make it less sad.”

“I’m not the one that goes against my word. I’ll be back after.” Without saying another word, I just walked out with my head held high. “Girl!” Brett caught up to me and grabbed my hand. “Have I told you today how much I love you?” “What’s for brunch?” My stomach was rumbling. “There is a variety, but I did make sure you had an omelet, sausage, and fruit. Since that is what you seem to want recently. However, there are other salads, sandwiches and I think some pastries?” Jo pulled out her phone. “I can’t stay long here. I want to get moving on this surprise for Maddox.”

I said. He looked confused but he indulged me anyway. "I love you, baby. You know that. Now tell me why you haven't touched your food." "Will you still love me if I peed on myself?" I asked. He got even more confused. "What are you talking about?" "I think I just peed on myself," I replied and he looked down at my chair immediately. He turned pale. "Her water broke." He announced. The table went silent for about one second and then all hell broke loose. Everyone was talking all at once and I couldn't make things out properly.

"Leftovers are taken to the stables." I settled my eyes on the plates that were in front of me. Sunnyside eggs, crispy bacon, french toast and other things I couldn't recognize. A jug and glass of orange juice was suddenly dropped in front of me and I smiled at him. He went red, nearly dropping the tray. I laughed under my breath, picking up one french toast. I bit into it and let out a low moan. I needed to get the recipe. The bread is so juicy yet it's not soggy.

The toast smelled awful. "Are you sure this is edible?" she asked and Tynan lifted his toast to take a bite to prove that it was fit for eating. Gathering her courage, Laura took the toast and closed her eyes, bracing herself for whatever vegemite was. She was expecting it to taste like foul socks but was surprised by the salty seafood-like flavour that burst on her tongue. "Need some water?" Tynan asked when Laura froze for a while with vegemite toast in her mouth.

I warn in an exasperated tone . "What?"she looks at me with an oblivious look ,"can't I say goodmorning in this kitchen !" "Of course,"My mate answers softly with a giggle. "I thought so ,"She smirks looking at me with that triumph look . "And don't worry ,Im going to share with you with my favourite infamous french toast ,"She grins as she dabs a folk on her plate full of food . "No don't worry ,Maddox is making me a special breakfast today ," Bloom answers her back with a proud smile .
