She noticed the dressing screen drawn near the study door, but didn't pay attention to it until she caught a whiff of a smoky perfume scent. 'Incense?' She turned to the scent and her eyes widened in shock. "E-Emperor?!" She cried as she stared at the naked man sitting in the bath tin. His eyes were shut and Alexis couldn't help but think he was dead. His appearance, regardless of looking dead, was even more attractive as his broad toned shoulders were in view. Thankfully, the fear of him being dead distracted Alexis from his body. She walked over to him, crouching down. She stared at his head that hung back. A pillow cushioned it.

"Tell me, Supreme Alpha Blackwood, is your ego so astronomically large that you genuinely believe you own the scent of the earth itself?" Kaelen blinked, the glowing crimson in his irises faltering for a fraction of a second. "What did you say?" "My personal perfumer," I stated calmly, smoothing an invisible wrinkle from the heavy velvet of my gown. On doing that, I recalled that Tyrion had given back to me two scarves on that day he healed me in the school, and one of them was at home. “How did he get it? I lost it in that resort where I had a one-night stand." I contemplated. At that point, my heart was being freed. “I can't ask him, but it seems somehow that he brought it to me. Did he rent the room, find it there, and bring it to me because he saw me with another type of it?”

“It means you need to stop looking like a cursed librarian.” The tailor scribbled furiously. “Height: five-four. Shoulders: narrow. Hips... surprisingly present.” I flinched. “Excuse me?” Ryden took a slow sip of something dark. “She also needs to stop smelling like wolfsbane.” I turned to him, scandalized. “You can’t comment on how I smell!” “I just did.” “It’s from the kitchens. And herbs are better than blood.” “It’s distracting,” he said simply. “Pick another scent.”

A scent emanated from his shirt as he walked past me. Tuberose. That was Perry's kind of scent. How did he suddenly have it?

Choose him. My back hit the gate before Tyler was trapping me in his arms. His hands were on either side of my head, not touching. But his hot breaths were mingling with mine right now. I flinched when he was breathing hard. He was inhaling so deeply that I don’t know why he did it. I can smell the scent that was coming off from him. He was wearing the cologne from the Giorgio Armani. It was intoxicating.

But Verena didn't realise that, it was the day the Tyrant was born. And it was there that his obsession grew, grew, and grew some more.
