She replied breathlessly. It was good to see her fucking smile. "Kataleya is really a food monster who can eat lots and lots, instead of making her tummy big and round, her food vanishes into space!" Skyla added as she bit into her pizza, which was topped with a mix of vegetables and chicken. "Or what your aunty Raven used to think was that she had tiny alien-like insects inside of her tummy that ate all her food and didn’t allow her to grow." Scarlett added.

As I was busy inspecting the room, one particular thing caught my attention. There's a huge lion's head that was hung on the wall right above the fireplace. My curiosity got the best of me and I proceed over to confirm if it's actually really or not. As I was busy inspecting the head and having no idea if it's actually real or not, and then I heard a voice behind me and it's the least voice I was expecting to hear today or ever in my life. "Kiddies, kiddies." When I pull back the blanket, I'm right and his kiddies are kittens. Five of the most adorable things you've ever seen. They can't be more than a few weeks old. There's a can of powdered milk on the ground and a dry tin plate with a water and milk mixture next to it. I step inside and quickly search for weapons. I find books and small trinkets along with a picture. I lift the frame of three people. It's a man and woman with a small girl between them. He probably found it.

Inside were a few fuzzy, wiggling caterpillars. "Ah!" Anne said fearfully. "Mama, are you afraid?" "I... I'm not..." "Mama, if I tell you they'll turn into butterflies when they grow up, will you still be scared of them?" Chloe explained innocently. Anne's mouth twitched. Even if they turn into beautiful butterflies in the future, they are still disgusting worms now! She felt her pores open, and her body hair stood on end. I ask. He nods. He asks his mother, "Mummy read the Gruffalo and the hungry caterpillar?" "Yes, sweetheart, we can do it. What is your all-time favorite book of all time?" He yells "GRUFFALO" at the animal. That sums up my plans for the evening.

I'm used to it, when I was a girl at night, this was sometimes my dinner. When I opened the trash can, my eyes widened suddenly because it was full of rice and dishes. What the fuck? That's why it's all gone because it was thrown away. I know who did it and it's Emery the caterpillar! When I finished washing, I put the pancit canton on my plate to start eating. Murry shook his head as he walked on the gray carpeting. This must be what a caterpillar felt like. "Caterpillar? Is this another rescued animal?" Keltrix crossed his middle tentacles over his chest. "I do not understand." "Human children will catch bugs like caterpillars. They stuff them in a jar. But they think to fool the caterpillar into thinking the jar is their world. They get a branch or a stick or a leaf, and they think that they will recreate their home." And they fail at it, he added silently. The caterpillar must look around and think... jerks.

And in that moment, I felt like anything was possible. We got up and walked back to the house. "Now, I think it's time for some lemonade," my grandmother said. I followed her inside, and she poured us each a glass of lemonade. We sat at the kitchen table, and I took a sip. It was cold and refreshing, and it tasted like summer. "Do you know what happens to caterpillars after they become butterflies?" my grandmother asked. I nodded. "They lay eggs, and then the eggs become caterpillars, and the cycle starts all over again," I said.
