Genesis
The memory of the searing pain, the stench of burning skin, still clung to me like a shroud.
I can’t wait any longer. I need to get out. Tonight. In a few hours, the rest of this useless pack would be gathered in the main hall for the stupid party he started years ago. He called it the “Mayhem Brawl”. It was an annual event where the pack gathered and openly challenged each other, a brutal free-for-all. It’s just another excuse to get wasted, to indulge in primal urges, to have sex, and to hit something, anything. But who am I to complain? I’m about to use it to my advantage, a desperate gamble for freedom.
