I ranted and his lips twitched in amusement as I finished my little rant. "You make it sound like I’m a villain.” He murmured, that infuriatingly smooth voice of his making the words sound almost playful. I huffed, crossing my arms over my chest, “You are a villain, Zade. Who else would kidnap someone back to their own city?” “A villain, huh?” He tilted his head, his gaze darkening just a fraction as he leaned in slightly, “If I’m a villain, what does that make you?” “Your victim.” I shot back without hesitation, lifting my chin defiantly.

“Then I’ll take it back. She wants to play a game of exposure? I’ll show her exposure.” “Meaning?” His eyes narrowed in suspicion. “She has secrets, Victor. Everyone does. And I’ll drag them into the light until she drowns in them.” Victor’s lips curled into a sly smile. “Dangerous move. But fitting for the villain you claim to be.” I ignored his mockery and picked up the glass again, the whiskey swirling like my rage. “Villains win because they’re willing to do what heroes won’t.” “Or because they don’t know when to stop,” Victor countered.

He was fast, I had to admit, but I was faster, and soon he gave up running as he knew I would catch up. "Traitor!" he cursed at me. "I am the traitor, but you stand there, cold-blooded creatures, and watch as those girls are used." "You did the same, and that's their use; it is for the greater good, they are nothing but humans, another set of animals." "The greater good sounds like what the villain always says, don't you think?" "He would kill you for this." "He would not know about this; who is there to tell him?" Then finally, he muttered, “And people say I’m the villain.” Valerie walked away and called out over her shoulder, “You are. I’m just the woman who fell for one.”

I made him. And the moment he felt strong enough, he turned on me. He took everything.”

"You killed them! You killed Jaxson! You took everything!" "Are you sure?" The question was so quiet, so steady, that it stopped the air in my lungs. "What?" I breathed, my grip loosening. He leaned even closer, his lips brushing the shell of my ear, his breath a cold draft against my skin. "Are you so sure that I’m the villain you’re looking for, Val?" I snorted, trying to reclaim my anger. "You're the devil I want to crush into the dirt. There is no one else."

I felt a different range of emotions going through me at the moment, trying to handle this new situation I was in. ‘Aurelia is the villainess of the otome game I enjoyed playing.
