The Westing Game Novels & Stories

But she had no idea how to get the truth from someone so cold. So she stayed quiet. The international rink soon came into view. Its massive structure could be seen from miles away. The parking area was already overflowing, people streaming in from every direction, wolves from countless Packs. It was the game of the year; The Western Aegis versus the Ironclaw Academy Wolves. Even from outside, the energy was electric. Piper pulled out her phone and immediately called Cecil. “You went to see the doctor, are you okay? Did something—” “I’m heading back home,” Cecil cut in smoothly. “Don’t worry about me.”

Three words stared up at her in silver writing: The Widow’s Club. And beneath it was a name: Celeste Van Der Meer. “Keep your veil on, darling,” Celeste said with a slight smile, as she turned to leave. “You have been chosen.” And with that, she walked away, her heels silent against the grass. Genevieve stood frozen, the card was still in her hand, and her veil fluttered against her skin as the wind blew towards her direction. She didn’t know it yet, but her husband wasn’t the only person who was going to be buried.

"There is only Vesper. And Vesper has a game to win." Zero let out a quiet sigh, his hand lingering on the edge of my desk for a fraction of a second too long, his fingers brushing against mine before he stepped back into the shadows of his terminal. "Then let's win it. The Thorne shipment arrives at Pier 4 at midnight. I've already corrupted their security feed. The stage is yours." A cold, lethal smile spread across my lips. I pulled a sleek, midnight-black carbon fiber mask over the upper half of my face, concealing my identity entirely.

“Don’t worry, you can talk about it with other players” “It’s a man hunt game” “A what?”, both brows shot up. “You heard me..” “Where are we heading?” “An abandoned warehouse, to meet my partner” “And who’s that?” She didn’t reply. “Here”, she handed me a gun. “I stole your delivery from the mail so your dad won’t see it” “Delivery?”, she was losing me. “You picked a gun in the game? Didn’t you?” I frowned a bit. “Laura? Are you high on any substances? We could drop by at the hospital”

You look beautiful," Anika exclaimed. Sarah grinned and bowed her head, but not before Anika noticed the tiny pink on her cheeks. Jacob made an impatient motion toward Casper. "Why are you standing here while he is standing over there?" Jacob's face stiffened as he examined the room. "I should have known the old bastard would be here." Anika followed his eyes and found Pete Foxhorn holding court within earshot of Casper. Though she wouldn't confess it to Jacob, seeing their business adversary hammering on Casper Sullivan made her incredibly nervous.

“There's this thing called communication. You should look it up.” He huffed and sat back down, pulling me onto his lap. Then his eyes landed on the empty chip packs scattered across the table. “Are you kidding me right now?" He pointed at them. “I said you can't have those.” I opened my mouth to argue… But the sound from the TV cut through the room. The anchor’s face was serious. Behind her, a photo of Dean filled the screen. “Dean Weston, heir to the Weston Group empire, was arrested earlier this evening after authorities discovered a large quantity of illegal substances inside his private residence at the Weston Estate.”

When no one says anything I smirk at them glaring while I spin in a circle reveling in my victory. They talk about the birthday games refusing to allow Westley to join in stating he has an unfair advantage not to mention no official title, and the games aren’t meant for more then three males. Westley is obviously pissed and isn’t quiet about it. He begins yells and swearing at the counsel, but when he trys to come at me I choke hold him forcing him to pass out. I’m confused when my dad is also unhappy about their vote, and now I’m wondering if he’s been hoping Westley was really Gemma’s mate after all these years. I guess he shouldn’t of bet against me I knew none of them were ever in my cor

I don't even know how to give a lap dance. I stood up and carried my purse i kept on the couch, i was sweating already. As i increased my pace to go out of the room, Sammy stopped me. "Hey! Where do you think you're going huh? The game is not over yet." He said "Since you don't want to play along with what you picked, you have to pay 50USD before we can let you go. You know the rules " Tala added 50 what? How on earth will i get that amount from?

I had thought I would calmly expose his lies, but my body couldn't help but tremble as I spoke. "You disgust me! Since that's the case, I'm done playing this game. Go, be happy with her." Shane didn't expect me to know the truth, and he couldn't even form a proper sentence. "W-What do you mean, you're done playing this game?" "I'll leave this world. I won't appear in front of you anymore." A trace of panic appeared on Shane's face. He clenched his fists, but with so many people around, he still forced a smile. "That's got to be a bluff! Your mission's not complete yet, so your sister will die!"

That person who almost succeeded still failed in the end, didn't they? I still felt uneasy. Where exactly did that mute maid go wrong? With only three minutes left on the countdown. Alice spent all her points to exchange for an item called [Camouflage Potion]—it allowed one to perfectly disguise their scent and aura as a wolf Omega. She was gambling everything. "No time to hesitate." Alice looked at us. "I choose the identity: [Castle Laundry Maid (Omega)]. Is anyone willing to come with me?" In the crowd, my usually silent Second Sister, Sofia, raised her hand.
