The Whole Truth Movie の小説・ストーリー

"Whatever she decides…..I will accept." The video ended. I still sat in my bed in the early morning quiet of my house with my phone in both hands and the duvet still pulled up. Four minutes and thirty seconds. No script. No management. No version of the truth that protected him first and told the story second. Just….. the truth. Said out loud. In front of everyone. At whatever cost. I put my phone down on the duvet and sat with it for a long moment. I had asked him to be done hiding things.

Too many defensive ornaments around the truth. I pushed a single sheet across the table to him, a routing log, only someone from the inside could easily explain. “Explain this entry then buddy.” His face blanched. Got him. “It wasn't… I d-didn’t m-mean…” He glanced to the others as if looking for salvation but there was none. I saw the fumble, sweat at the lips, a stutter that betrayed him. Because Mike never stutters. He babbles about pressure to pay a debt, threats about a contact who'd promise him to fix everything, something along those lines. The more he spoke the less coherent it became.

“Found footage in a storage device. The van drivers don’t know who left what. But you’ll find out.” Elena’s eyes filled, hot and immediate. She forced herself to concentrate on the frames, the rawness, the awful intimacy of seeing the world tilt and fold. “Stop,” she whispered before she could stop herself. “Stop it.” “No,” the intruder said, almost kindly. “You asked to see. You said you wanted truth.” “You can be kind,” Damian said, voice a low blade. “You can put away whatever you have and hand it to the police.” The intruder’s smile thinned. “Kindness doesn’t make a headline,” he said. “Truth does.”

Text: “Board emergency meeting called for tomorrow morning. Someone leaked the letters. They’re public. Full text online. Headlines already running.” Martin looked at Damien. Both pale. The truth was out—raw, unfiltered, unstoppable.

A clerk with slicked-back hair came up to him, holding out a bible, “Raise your right hand. Do you promise that the testimony you shall give in the case before this court shall be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?” The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. For a moment, nothing came out of Anson Bank’s mouth as the gravity of the words sank in on him. He let out a heavy sigh and swallowed. Yes, it’s time to tell the truth. “I do.” And when the attorney finally questioned him, Anson Banks relayed his tale and relived his nightmare, shocking the nation with a story of his descent into darkness.

"You've got the wrong person! Miss Rebecca's husband is our hospital dean. He's in the room with their baby right now. And just so you know, we don't disclose other patients' private information." I slammed my hand down on the counter, my voice rising as I said, "Cut the crap. If I say to check, you check. My dad's a major investor in this place; I'm practically the head. Don't I have that right? And as for a husband catching his wife cheating, that's his prerogative, so save your breath!" The nurse gave me a look like I was out of my mind, then snorted. "Mister, you must be dreaming! Our dean's got money and power, and he's not the type to have an affair. You, on the other hand, have either

I liked that it helped. “I don’t want to erase the good parts,” I whispered. “I just don’t want them used to erase the bad ones.” “Then don’t let him make you choose between them.” “How?” “By telling the whole truth.” The whole truth. That sounded righteous and impossible. The whole truth was messy. It did not fit inside court filings or custody arguments or carefully drafted letters. It did not make me look perfectly innocent. It did not make Kieran look like a monster every second of the day. It admitted that I stayed too long. That I loved him once. That Daniel had laughed inside the same walls where I had learned to disappear.

He took a life, a legacy, everything your brother was meant to inherit. She read the word brother and had to stop. She read it again. She kept reading. *This is all I could save as proof. The USB contains records, emails, and a partial will that names you. You're also a Rhodes, kept hidden by me for your safety.* *Find the truth. But please, Liora, tread carefully. Damien Hawthorne is dangerous and doesn't tolerate loose ends.* *I'm sorry I couldn't give you more.* *All my love, always — Mom*

But those things had been something that I had not even dared to wish for. Every moment of tenderness on the screen had felt like a slow execution. My heart felt as if it had been pinned to a bed of nails and dragged across it repeatedly until it was riddled with holes and numb from pain. Sean clenched his fists. His voice broke with emotion. “Phoebe, I’m sorry… I never thought it would end like this…” I stared at him. I could not hide the hatred that I felt toward him. “You always said Bonnie was faking her illness, but the needle marks kept increasing on her skin, her hair kept falling out, and she kept getting thinner. Everything about her was screaming that she was sick.

I watched Gabriella apologize and saw my name displayed on the screen. It had been five years since I was bound to Gabriella's side. I watched myself being branded as a traitor, while the real culprit thrived. The truth had been buried for far too long. And now, the truth had finally come to light. A month later, Christopher and the remaining members of Oliver's drug cartel faced a public trial before the Supreme Court in Gakoli. The gallery was packed to the brim. Families of fallen narcotics officers filled the front row, while the back row and side aisles were crowded with reporters.
