A Wife's Plight

A Wife's Plight

Laughter erupted between them, light and healing. Just then, August peeked his head in. “Ah, so you’re the one delaying her, Chisom.” “Ahh! Bro August, abeg o! My hand no dey inside.” Chisom raised her palms in mock surrender. She rose from the bed and dusted off her dress. “I should be going. It looks like Mr. Romantic wants to take his beautiful wife out. Let me not interfere.” “Love you, babe,” Emelia called after her.

A Reckless Alliance - Falling For My Billionaire Boss

A Reckless Alliance - Falling For My Billionaire Boss

Did they not live here anymore? I glanced around and noticed a middle-aged woman staring at me from the house next door. Did she consider me a trespasser? “Hello! Has the Hemmingway family gone somewhere?” I asked her, taking a step or two in her direction. She nodded. “Yes, they’ve gone to Agapi Events on the next block for their son’s wedding.” A gasp of horror escaped my lips as I tried my best to hold back an expletive. “Whose wedding? Josh’s?”

Once Upon a Full Moon

Once Upon a Full Moon

I made an appointment for this week with my regular stylist – my nextdoor neighbour who cuts everyone in the block of flats’ hair in her tatty old kitchen with the stained yellow linoleum floors and dented stainless steel sink. I’ll never see her again. I’ll never see little Larry with his almost-broken and used-up tricycle riding up and down the broken sidewalk while his exhausted mother screams at him to stay out of the street. I’ll never see snotty Susan, as we call her, from next door again. The poor child who is always sick, and whose clueless mother always leaves her home alone so she can go out to work, trusting that Clara and I would look after her daughter. And we do…we did. Who is

This is a good book. Good story line but a note for the author. You need to work on emotions… make me feel what’s going on.. how they are feeling. You are one of the better authors I’ve read on this platform just need more depth to the characters
Kathleen
I really enjoyed this book - it’s like unraveling a series of presents - the story telling is amazing, the FL and ML are both strong, intelligent and - a rarity in most of this kind of novels - communicate to each other! No unnecessary drama, no drawing on - congratulations to the author!

Gosh! My Silly Husband Is a Rich Boss

Gosh! My Silly Husband Is a Rich Boss

The old lady waved her hand and said impatiently, "I don't know him. I said I don't know him!" She then slammed the door with a bang. Sonnet stood at the front for a while, organized her thoughts, and knocked on the door of the house next door. "Excuse me, do you live next to Tre?" Neighbor nodded and responded, "Yeah. Tre died years ago, though." "I’d be alright even if I can only find his family members, but the old lady next door said that I’m at the wrong place."

Wife of the Next CEO

Wife of the Next CEO

The witch spat out with her witch daughter who, if they smiled at me, seemed to be the last time they would be able to do that because they would be passing away tomorrow. "What does this mean?" "Are you stupid or curious?" Stacy said with a smile. "Get out of this house, Irene. You are better off living on the streets than here!” "And what right do you have---" "You are so stupid, hija. If you had not signed the papers, the title of the house would have been in your name. Well, it's because you're so stupid, it's good to make a statue. I have the right to evict you because I now own this house!”

THE NETHER ALCHEMIST: RISE OF ZEGRATH VOID

When I arrived at the airport, she was supposed to pick me up,” Mr Ethel inquired. "I believe she's with the other neighbour," says the narrator. I saw her the day before yesterday. They were with the boss, and she did not return to the house afterward. “Perhaps you could check with them,” suggested the neighbour. Mr Ethel expressed his gratitude by saying, "Thank you." As he stepped down the stairs and onto the road in front of this house, he rubbed the pain in his shoulder away. He knew who his next-door neighbour was talking about. Hawaii and her next-door neighbour were close friends, and she spent her leisure time with her. He crossed the road and arrived at the house, where he began kn

I stated as I stared at them and they nodded. “We found out that the house belonged to her dead husband she had being stayed there for a while, it’s the house beside fhe market, it’s the perfect place to do your day actives because no one would hear the noise because of the market and there are other factors too that no one would consider, who would think of a widow and her two kids.” “Did you speak to the neighbors?”

The Wife I Buried Rang Our Doorbell

The Wife I Buried Rang Our Doorbell

The New Year's Eve dinner is almost ready when the doorbell rings. I wipe my hands and answer the door, thinking it's a relative stopping by. "Justin Lowell." I can never mistake that face. I slam the door shut and press my back against it, my heart racing. "Who's that? Why didn't you let them in?" My wife, Lily Fisk, pokes her head out from the kitchen. "Don't open…" My throat goes tight. It's too late. Lily's already turning the doorknob. The woman outside smiles at Lily and says, "Hello. I'm Justin's wife, Katy Dugan." The rolling pin slips from Lily's hand and hits the ground. She immediately turns to look at me. "Justin." Lily's voice is trembling. "Is she telling the trut

My Wife is His Wife

"Of course not!" I sat down. It was almost funny, attending my own wife's wedding and whatnot. I started looking around. Before long, the older woman beside me struck up a conversation. "Those two look perfect together, don't they? It wasn't easy for them to get married." I gritted my teeth, but the bitterness still came. "What made it hard?"
