She loved that old ugly thing. Even before mom and dad broke apart, she had always read all those weird books about witches. And when they separated, it felt like it was the chance to finally explore it. And she was good with it. She had promised herself to not do bad things with it. And that was why Hunter used her. He needed a witch with clean hands to cast a spell. And mom had refused. This place… this small hut reminded me so much of my childhood. And sometimes I hated to remember it. The crone exclaimed, “The wolf of Brigid! She lifted the lid and withdrew a black feather and an antler. “By the gods, the trigod’s blessing!”

I enter my shared apartment with Lucas and Catherin and rush to my bedroom and smack the door on their faces before they ask me questions. I plop myself on the bed laying on the stomach in terror, what would have happened if someone found that am a witch? Humans were always the people to hate us. They even killed many of my kind without any mercy thinking that we too have family and kids to take care of. Vampires smell like copper and decaying earth. Each shifter has it’s own distinct smell to match their animals. Wolves smell like a forest run, our little chipmunk resident smells like nuts and berries.
