There were some rumors among the people that Qontessah had so many guards around her not for her own protection but for the protection of those around her. This is why the island was constantly recruiting people who were solely handled by Xander. She was cruel and was labeled a witch, but Qontessah was eviler and frightening than she was. If she is a white witch, then Qontessah was a dark or black witch, a true agent of darkness, but when she thinks about it, she still has a good heart.

Caleb said, looking between Aiden and Ally who looked at each other, speaking with their eyes. It was Aiden that replied "The wolves were able to win the war that they called the great purge so many years ago because some witches helped them. Led by a sect of witches, called the Marin witches. Doro–" He winced, as if the name burned him "Dorothea was one of those witches. She captured me for a time and when I escaped, I killed all of them that I could find, saving her for last. I killed her. She has to be dead and someone is trying to use her name–"

Sungul grinned proudly, “To know that you’ll soon have a familiar in your grasp.” I’ve seen other witches wandering around campus with theirs. Random floating objects or a slew of different animals saunter around with their witches. Some were as small as a pixie while others stretched high towards the ceiling, towering over the lot of us. There have been moments when I’ve thought what mine could possibly be. “Do you have one?”

I wept, my sobs raw and unrestrained, as she shook her head and whispered hoarsely, "What's done is done. Let it go." Alessia He laughed actually stomach holding head back tear rolling laughed at me. when he stopped and wiped his tears away he looked at me "My dear no magic, manifest or herbal is used anywhere in the world without my knowledge, the witches were suddenly cloaking their little coven to all but humans and were using herbs to lock someone's gifts of course I had to see why, imagine my shock to see that the wolf kings daughter was hiding a small child that was both wolf and vampire."

Havermouth, The Present Connery strolled across the road smiling pleasantly and inclining his head to the new arrivals as they explored the area. Several witches and warlocks were chalking runes across the road, and others were tying ribbons and hex pouches into the fences and trees. “Busy, busy little witches and warlocks,” Connery commented to himself.

The gate arose as the guards recited a warning “Don’t stray from the paved roads. Don’t cross the navy painted lines. Follow this road straight to the castle. Do not make any stops.” Walking forward through the iron gate the roads began lined with a yellow paint. There were several run down little wooden shacks with the entrances lined green and past that several darkened side streets lined Navy. As we continued we saw several creatures; Fairies, trolls, what appeared to be rogue wolves, or daywalkers, but no witches which was odd as we were supposed to be visiting the head witch (which Damon failed to mention was actually a queen). “Damon…. Where are the witches?..”

Richard’s POV The road that led to the witches’ territory was nothing like the maps promised. It twisted through dead woodland, where the air itself seemed to breathe. Branches arched over the narrow dirt path like skeletal ribs, blocking the moonlight and swallowing sound. Every crunch of the horses’ hooves echoed louder than it should have, and every gust of wind carried whispers that weren’t quite the wind’s alone. No one spoke for the first hour after crossing the border. Even Gunner, who had a tongue that could wear down stone, kept his silence, his hand never straying far from the hilt of his revolver.

The witches don’t even realize what’s happening until it’s too late and they’re consumed by fire too fast to even scream. “In front!” Meredith screams. I turn and see another witch standing in the middle of the road. As I watch, she pushes a wall of black mist that covers the entire width of the road and the height of a semi in front of her. Remembering where she was standing, I shoot a pillar of blue flame from my hands directly at her. Immediately, the black mist dissipates and the witch goes up in flames. Meredith swerves around the burning body and I look behind me to Casen and Severn. They are working together to stop the witches, but they just keep coming.

She stood still, trying to resist the force but it overwhelmed her and forced her to the ground. "Arrrhh!" She roared as she changed into a Witch-Wolf, as huge as a bear. She jumped around with force, sniffing around her. Some men were sitting at a corner, drinking from some bottles on the floor. They were speaking gibberish as they nodded their head from left to right in rhythm to music playing from a Small stereo. "What is that thing by the corner of the road?" One of them asked with squinting eyes, pointing at a creature by the road.
