Suddenly I smelt such a delicious scent that to sniffed him trying to see if it was from him, but it wasn't, I knew what this scent meant, and it scared me and delighted me as well, I was scared that he would reject me just like Alpha Rick did, and I was delighted to know the moon goddess gave me another mate.

When Gwen returned with the container of the siren's sea water she motioned for the witches to stand in a circle and from the other container she sprinkled a powdery substance within the circle they had formed. With the substance she formed a circle and a triangle within the circle. She motioned for Selena to come into the circle of witches and led her to stand within the formed triangle. She took her left hand and made a cut. Selena moaned in pain and watched as her blood dripped down to a spot within the triangle.

The intruders were many and their scents were masked so I could barely tell who they were or where they came from. A huge fight had broken out, but the intruders were gaining the upper hand, I caught sight of a group of witches chanting a spell to weaken our wolves and I flew towards them immediately. Not many witches can fly and since they were still on the ground, I was sure that they were not witches of higher rank. Meaning they were no match for me. I secured our pack house to protect the Omegas and the children who couldn't fight then I removed their spell from the wolves.

I agreed and fell asleep quickly. It seemed like I wasn’t asleep for more than a few minutes when I was suddenly back in that room with my sister and now, two brothers. They were all shackled to the floor. I did notice that the window was no longer tall, but wide. One of them had turned the window sideways, and I know why. During the era of the Salem Witch Trials, the houses in the affected areas started being built with one window at an odd angle or sideways. It was called a Witch’s Window because a witch wouldn’t be able to fly through it on her broom. It was a human attempt to deter witches from entering their homes.

Beth thrashed, clawing at the iron grip around her scalp, but it was useless. My stomach lurched as the witch’s jaw unhinged unnaturally wide, her rotten teeth bared, aiming for Beth’s neck. My hands trembled at my sides. I would do anything, anything, to keep Beth alive. The witch tilted her head, watching me like a cat toying with its prey. A slow, sinister smile curled across her lips. She swayed slightly, back and forth, as if savoring the moment. A sick game.

Their eyes glowing like light in the night. That's when I began to hear the whisperings, a group of people whispering all at once. I couldn't see them, a dense fog covering the direction where their voices were coming from. But I didn't need to see them to know who and what they are. They are siren witches. The same ones the Alpha of the north had asked for help for. I looked back at the field and saw the number of warriors lost. Yet the warriors kept on fighting, standing with their alpha to the death.
