Chrome and Claws
She thought of Axel’s voice telling her she was stronger than she knew, she thought of the pack eyes, waiting for her to prove herself.
She thought of her own longing not to be caged by fear anymore.
“No,” she whispered. Then louder, fiercer: “No. I won’t be prey. I won’t be ruled.
I am Luna of the Moon Riders and you…” she bared her teeth “you are mine.”
She lunged at her wolf, not away. Their bodies collided, golden light and blood-red mist exploding around them.
Pain seared through her, fire in each and every of her veins as her wolf roared, but Raven roared louder.
