When I wasn't on patrol, I holed up in the cabin with a book. Weirdly peaceful. Cut off from the world, this place felt like heaven. Until today. A knock at the door. I opened it. Woman in black. Tall. Vaguely familiar. "Aurelia?" She looked up. Nope. "Naomi." *** Snow started falling again. No way Naomi was making it back down tonight. I turned, poured her some tea, and motioned to the chair. The cabin was warm. Cozy. She looked around. "This place... it's so you. Everything in here screams Leone."

She thanked the woman that had just helped her out. “You’re very welcome. Follow me inside and we will get you set up with everything you need.” The woman smiled politely. Everyone had been so polite to her that day. It was unlike anything she had ever experienced. Together, they all walked in to the first cabin, the largest of the lot. Although old and rough on the outside, on the inner the establishment was clean, bright and modern. The woman walked in behind a counter and tapped a couple of keys on the keyboard of her computer.

I turned, finding her across the room, eyebrows raised in genuine surprise. I held her gaze. "Yes, baby. Remember? We talked about wanting our own space. Time to ourselves." Recognition flickered. She caught on fast. "Oh. Right. Of course. Silly me." Gloria nodded slowly, though something in her expression suggested she wasn't entirely happy with the announcement. Mrs. Hartley still standing near the fireplace like a sentinel perked up immediately. "I know a cabin." Her voice carried authority. It made everyone in the room listen without realizing they'd stopped talking. "It's about ten minutes outside town. Very private. Beautiful view of the mountains."

"The facility will clean them up later. This world belongs to the people with the money and the needles. Not smelly animals." She backed away toward the main cargo door, keeping her pistol level with my chest. She grabbed the emergency release handle with her left hand and pulled it hard. The heavy metal door flew open with a deafening bang, and the freezing mountain wind rushed into the cabin, tearing loose papers and bags into the sky. Linda looked at me one last time, a cruel smile touching her lips. "Goodbye, Fenrir. Tell your mate I said hello when you see her in the next life."

He answered relaxedly. Blaze walked me in. This cabin only consists of three rooms. The living room, the place we are currently standing on, the kitchen ... is in the north and next to it, is a small cubicle which I guess is the bathroom ... and the room where the woman disappeared ... what I guessed was her bedroom. We walked to her room .. leaving this dull living room with a moss green theme. You can imagine for yourself… all of the paint is moss green and there are a small sofa and a wooden table which are all dark brown..lighting with dim orange lights with very little sunlight. We walked to the room and went inside. There .. Charlie was typing on his laptop on the big bed. I'm amazed.

Joya added when her ears picked up quick footsteps making their way to the cabin. "Here they come..." A woman in the cabin said with apparent fear, her voice breaking. The heavy wooden door creaked as it swung open, spilling a narrow strip of light into the dim, airless cabin. The man's boots thudded against the deck, the sound unnervingly loud in the cramped space. Inside, the air was thick with the stench of the corpse of a dead woman. The woman had died after weeks of enduring painful suffering. He perceived the stench and then scrunched his face in disgust.

The hunters stepped aside for her to enter through a door that stood half off its hinges, where morning light streamed through large windowless frames on every side of the cabin. And at the back of the room stood the six men who probably had the answers she needed. But she had to act convincing. She’d bet their whole plan on a hunch; there was no room for error. Stepping back with a gasp, allowing fear to show on her face, she turned to walk out, only to bump into the solid chest of the bald man.

“Did… Did you already know?” “This is a family matter, Ms. Bianchi.” he returned her look, cold. "Don't waste your time or your sleep worrying about a woman who's dead. Do you understand that? She had a funeral and there's a tombstone in a cemetery with her name on it. She was gone the day she locked herself inside that cabin. It was her choice to do that and leave her own son behind. That's all you should remember. The rest doesn't matter."

Who the fuck was this woman. "Apologies," I started. I was still bewildered by her calming yet dominating aura. She wasn't scared that a stranger was this close to her. "You're trespassing," I told her, she looked me over and tilted her neck. "No, you are," She said calmly, " I'm staying in that cabin there," "That is my family cabin, this land is ours," I grounded,

The sheer size of the room surprised her. There were hundreds of fascinating gadgets and machines all around the room. There was also a small cabin at the end. Arnold led her straight to the cabin. She gasped as she took in the large cabin. It had looked very tiny from outside but from the inside, it was as beautiful as the bedroom in Zen Digiola. “ We will stay here till my security team has unveiled the culprit,” Arnold said sitting down on the bed. He patted the bed beside him signaling Sarah to sit down.
