Preparing the Zoo for Christmas

Preparing the Zoo for Christmas

It moved slowly down the path, heavy breathing echoing through the air as it approached Zane and Stanley. When the light hit its striped fur, I finally saw it clearly. It was Thor the Tiger. “Ah!” Zane screamed, peeing himself as he tried to crawl away. Unfortunately, Thor the Tiger lunged forward and sank his teeth into Zane’s leg, dragging him inch by inch back across the dirt. Stanley turned, clutching his neck, and locked eyes with the massive tiger. For a split second, everything froze. Then, he screamed in terror, wetting himself as he shook uncontrollably.

My brother-in-law is my mate

My brother-in-law is my mate

Peter had said, and I rolled my eyes. But as we ventured deeper into the reserve, his infectious excitement began to chip away at my reluctance. I gasped when I saw zebras lying lazily in the distance. A few giraffes towered over the bushes, stretching their necks gracefully to nibble on the leaves of acacia trees. "Look at that one," Peter said, pointing at a particularly playful baby giraffe galloping awkwardly beside its mother. "Reminds me of how I was as a kid."

The President's Mate

The President's Mate

“That one… he’s a different breed entirely.” I looked at him. “You mean Franco?” “Yes. Or whatever it calls itself. He’s what they call a Zeta.” My brow furrowed. “A Zeta? What’s that?” Papa shifted, groaning slightly as he adjusted his position. “A Zeta is no ordinary wolf, Eleanor. They’re trained like assassins—deadly, precise, and terrifyingly strong. The strength of twenty wolves in one body. Sometimes more. They don’t just fight… they calculate. They erase”

she says, nodding and laughing. I shudder at that, having once seen two zebras attack each other and basically stomp each other to death. They are crazy and we don’t go anywhere near them! My mate and his father come back just as quickly as they left and I realize Mase has interlaced our hands. We all wait and look at the males for an answer.

The Zander's empire sextuplets

The Zander's empire sextuplets

Chapter 15 Zander's POV I stared down at the ruin my office had turned into. Papers were scattered everywhere, chairs overturned, and shards of broken glasses glinted on the floor. The once-spotless symbol of my dominance...power now mirrored the storm raging inside me. "Fuck!" I roared, slamming my fist into the desk with all the force I could muster. The wood splintered beneath my hand, a jagged crack running through the center. Pain shot through my knuckles as blood seeped from the fresh wound, staining the ruined surface. I didn't care. The pain felt like a perfect escape from the burning emotion inside me.

Nanny For The Alpha's Lost Twins

Nanny For The Alpha's Lost Twins

Two limousines met us as we walked down the stairs of Zane’s plane, and our security interacted with the betas who came out to sort our luggage. We were driven by a gamma down a private two-land road lined with swaying palm trees and lampposts whose bases were landscaped with flowers. We passed through a well-guarded gate, and after that I spotted a fenced-in giraffe eating leaves off tall trees. After that in their own habitats came zebras and monkeys, a white rhino, and leopards. As we neared a turn in the lane, I saw peacocks and parrots, and then we passed a small lake with swans.

Submissive Academy

Submissive Academy

"I think we’re up to eight dogs, four cats, twenty chickens, three donkeys, five horses, six turtles, one owl, a handful of rabbits here and there... oh, and a zebra." I stare. I can't help it. "A zebra?" I manage to croak out. "We rescued her from a circus," Mark explains, as if this were the most normal thing in the world. "Poor thing was whipped behind the scenes. We helped arrange a place for the lions and elephants elsewhere, but we kept the zebra. She lives with the horses now." Mark folds his newspaper and slides it over to Aiden, who accepts it without a word. Then Aiden pushes the plate a little closer to me, and without thinking, I obey his silent co

I loved this book honestly. It was so good I couldn’t put it down. I really hope there is a sequel and they rescue the other girls trapped in the bad marriages and we can have a look at the new academy. It was a great read very well done.

ADA PRIDE OF ALAOCHA (BK 1)

ADA PRIDE OF ALAOCHA (BK 1)

It was more vigorous than the first. Mbakwe turned and behind him were two mighty zebras, storming towards his direction. “Chim o! (My god)!” Mbakwe exclaimed and jumped out of the way to avoid being trampled upon. The zebras stormed pass, leaving heavy dust on their trail. Mbakwe coughed himself to his feet, an agony to his thirsty throat. “Okwa imeruro ahu (hope you are not injured)?” Came a concerned voice. Mbakwe lifted his head; it took a great deal of effort to see through the dust that swerved in the hot air. A man was running towards his direction, unarmed. The leopard vest he wore suggested that he certainly was wealthy and not a cannibal or a bandit.

The Royal Naga Siren

She wondered. “I feel something, a pull, I don’t know but it’s this way.” She told Zane. He did not answer but followed her. From a distance, they could see something floating in the water. Nazima swam fast to get to it and when she was close, she could see the huge Alligator. It looked unconscious, and she swam forward to merge with it like the seers said but just as she was close to touching it. The alligator was pulled away from her.

Frequently Asked Questions

The ending of 'The Rainbow Zebra' hit me like a wave of bittersweet nostalgia. The protagonist, after a journey through surreal landscapes and self-discovery, realizes their stripes weren’t just colors—they were fragments of memories from people they’d touched. The final scene shows them fading into a prism of light, leaving behind a single striped feather that becomes a legend in the world. It’s poetic, but also achingly lonely—like the zebra was never meant to stay, only to remind others of the beauty in impermanence.

What really stuck with me was how the side characters reacted. The zebra’s closest friend, a cynical fox, finally sheds their sarcasm and howls at the sky, grieving but also celebrating. It made me wonder if the zebra was ever 'real' or just a collective dream. The ambiguity is intentional, but man, I still tear up thinking about that feather drifting into the sunset.
