The tea was bitter, not something I liked.
“Do you not like it?” he asked.
“It is good.”
“Please don’t lie. You don’t need to lie. I won’t get angry just because you don’t like the tea I served,” he said.
“My apologies, Lord Theodore…”
“No, no, just Theodore is okay. You can call me Theodore,” he said. “After all, you are my sister-in-law, not someone beneath me.”
I nodded. I wanted to relax, but could not completely trust him. He did not seem like someone who would hurt me, but who could tell?
