“It was meant to scare us,” Quintus sniffed, staring into the tunnel.
Porcius eyed the man with spacious eyes and said, “It worked, sir.”
“If Drust wanted us dead, wouldn’t he have loosed a bigger version of the buggerman, as you called it, some demon or whatever, than just this simple water spirit?”
