Things To Do In Midnight Novels & Stories

I nod in agreement because I am sure there will be a path of destruction behind us. We laugh, continuing to watch the sunset, relaxing with our wine. We were in no rush to start on dinner because we had a big lunch, and it wasn’t too late, so we might as well enjoy the beauty right in front of us. “I want to go for a midnight swim tonight. Are you up for it?” I am always up for a midnight swim, “Hell yeah! I love the lake at night.” We knew it well, so we weren’t in any danger. Plus, there is enough light around for us to see what we are doing, and the moon is always bright in the sky here at night.

“Who knows what will happen at midnight?” I can’t stop smiling at the picture until Liam pokes me in the side and points to a stage where Alpha and Luna Williams are standing. Everyone else takes notice and quiets down, giving them our full attention. “Hello Everyone, welcome to the Emerald Mountain Mating Gathering. With the kickoff of this event and with the blessings of the Moon Goddess, we are looking forward to the beginning of fruitful mating season.” Alpha Williams greets us with a warm smile. He and Luna Williams give us instructions on where to stand when dinner finishes and tell us all what to expect at midnight when the moon is at its peak.

I followed him, my heartbeat loud in my ears. Ahead, a midnight-black infinity pool stretched along the cliff’s edge, its silver-trimmed waters glowing like captured starlight. Beyond it, a fire-lit courtyard flickered softly, with obsidian benches circling a ritual pit. The kind of place where deals were sealed in blood and vows under moonlight weren’t just metaphors. Past that, a glimpse of the private combat arena—lit but quiet. Shadow-obstacles flickered like ghosts, waiting to be summoned. The whole place felt like it was holding its breath. Waiting to decide what I was.

The main branch of the Midnight Resort is a humble 12-story building complex found in the more ancient parts of the city. It takes up about half the city block so what it lacks in height, it makes up for in width. It is a well-known place for its numerous entertainment centers, video game arcades, computer cafes, dance clubs, and event venues. But what it’s really known for are the rumors… Rumors of it housing a hotel/pleasure house which can only be accessed from a specific entrance somewhere at the back.

The crowd at Dirty Deeds was nearly impossible to get through. I looked at the time, and now I understand why there was such a commotion. It was getting close to midnight, and just like they did back home, the busiest time of the party was typically between eleven in the evening and two in the morning. Now is the time when we get to see who is letting their guard down, giving us the opportunity to hunt them down. I love the hunt, but with humans...

So, she made the most progress at night. After almost completing her goal, she'd usually discuss what midnight snack to get with Caleb and the others in their group chat. Then, they'd go out together for food in the middle of the night. Most stores and malls had closed for the day at 2:00 am, but some streets were still bustling with life. Rebecca and the others weren't interested in nightclubs. Plus, they weren't young anymore and didn't have Ellen's energy to go clubbing. So, they found random food stands for food and drinks to enjoy the peaceful night.

Finally, he responded, “Fine. As long as you promise me we go in the morning. I wanna be as far away from the forest at night.” The three erupted into smiles and snickers. And so it seemed, it’ll be another adventure for the midnight club. What could go wrong? *** NIGHT QUICKLY FELL OVER suburbia. The clouds were thin that night, unveiling the billions of stars painted in the night sky. Moving bodies of meteors and planets and man-made satellites vastly played around in the oblivious darkness. This is only a part of the universe through the suburbia’s perspective.

Because I love every bit of it. The crew had a section where they occupied, and I followed them. I heard there are many fun activities, but a lot of those activities begin at midnight and last until dawn. Thirty minutes into the event, I was already blending in perfectly. It was almost 8 pm, but trust me when I say I didn't care.
