Magic Powers Novels & Stories

Right here and right now. Well, I haven't told you that this world I'm in, holds a LOT of secrets. One of those secrets is people with powers. Literal powers. Like one who holds fire without even burning themself. Or one who holds water like it has shape. Unfortunately, only nobles have these strong powers. Peasants or commoners like Pheia doesn't have any though sometimes miracle happened. Some commoners were bestowed with powers but only a few of them have. The healer searched for a possible wound around the man's body. If this man is what she thinks he is. He might be grateful with her generosity and helpfulness that he came back alive. I hope so.

Valor chimes in for reasons unknown to me. Continuing, Alaric takes the spotlight again. "Through magic and spells, selected humans were transformed. The power strolled down centuries till our generation. Different magic, different power, different strengths, different capabilities, each of us unique to what we can do." "I have the power of ice and fire." Valor interrupts again. "And Alaric, the power of Axis."

I knew it was a big decision to make, but as they explained when the time was right, I would know who would be deserving of the title. When training began, they pushed it over my limit, always telling me that I need to be ready for the toughest of choices from now on. Trying to master ten powers was difficult, they made sure of it. They explained that ever Moon Goddess has an eleventh power, no one knew what it was, but it would come to me at a time that was most needed. My powers varied in many areas: Water, earth, air, fire, teleportation, levitation, hypnosis, shape shifting, mind reading and finally healing.

I said, going over to my blankets and laying on top. Christopher came in. "You've had a busy day," he said, falling into a sitting position beside me. I laid back. "Yeah." "Who knew you had a rainbow inside of you?" He smirked. I couldn't hold back a smile. Hope burned within for the first time in a long while. "Not me," I said. "You still have the seven magics in you," Christopher said. "The power is still there," he added reiterating. "I guess so."

“What powers does she have?” The historian’s eyes flash with a mix of fear and awe. “Her powers are tied to her emotions. When she experiences extreme emotions—whether love, anger, or fear—her abilities manifest. She can shape the world around her with just her will, manipulate the very forces of nature if she’s pushed far enough. But it’s dangerous, Maxine. Her powers are unpredictable, and when they fully awaken... it could be catastrophic.”

How could I have been so dumb? I possess one of the rarest magic in all of MistWorld, Kraegos. I could create any monster I want, even the ones with wings. Taking another deep breath, I decided to put my power to a test. Knowing I had little time left before the incoming monsters got to me, I quickly formed the image of a winged monster with the ability to fly fast, camouflage, and super strength. To ensure I didn't get lost on the way back to N.A, I gave the monster the ability to locate anywhere in MistWorld.

I knew it was a great decision to make, but as they explained, when the time comes, I will know who will deserve the title. When training began, they pushed me beyond my limits, always telling me that I had to be ready to make the most difficult choices from now on. Trying to master ten powers was difficult; they knew it perfectly. They explained to me that each Goddess of the Moon had an eleventh power. No one knew what it was, but it would come to me when I needed it most. My powers varied in many areas water, earth, air, fire, teleportation, levitation, hypnosis, metamorphosis, telepathy and finally healing.

After her statement, she witnessed Adrian vanish, eliciting horrified stares from the surrounding crowd. "How is he so fast?" ‘It's not speed, it's teleportation. It's the Origin Power,’ Megan thought. Her knowledge surpassed that of her companions. The Origin Power was one of the most closely guarded secrets within Dark Moon, intricately linked to the upper echelons of strength. A wielder of Origin Power held a significant advantage over ordinary Grandmasters, akin to the disparity between Grandmasters and eighth-level experts. It was two entirely different levels of existence.

She thought about it before leaning back in her chair. “Yes, I do agree that in this case you could do much better with magic than with any other power, but you shouldn’t forget that magic comes with a lot of other responsibilities. You should be mentally stable to wield such power. Especially since you have not been conditioned to wield such from birth. You are still an alien to it.” “That’s why I have you there. You can teach me. Or maybe force the power out of me.” “No, forcing the power to show up could kill you seeing as magic is an unpredictable power.”

I inquired hugging Grandma, trying to coax her. Grandma looked at me and sighed, shaking her head. "The more power you possess, the more your possibilities are. For women… magic can work as your best beauty product. You can also stretch the natural abilities of your body… like strength, speed, agility, or mind… like memory, focus, perceptivity…" "Wow! So magic can make me a superhuman or a genius?!" I got overly excited. "No. That kind of magic works only temporarily, and it is exhausting to use it often. There is always a price to pay… So do not overuse it!" she advised me.
