The Arrogant Billionaire And His Stubborn Wife

The Arrogant Billionaire And His Stubborn Wife

Neil asked, narrowing his eyes. "No, no…. Not at a… all Mr Sm… Smiths" Thomas again stammered. "Well I'm willing to be that scapegoat but only on one condition, that way you can have the money and I'll be also benefited even if your hotel is in loss." Neil said, looking straight at Mr Thomas's eyes. But this action of his made Thomas more nervous. 'Oh God, will he ask for my organs like those money lenders? But he's already a billionaire, why would he do that?' Thomas thought to himself.

Rebirth And Revenge: The Betrayed Luna's Return

Rebirth And Revenge: The Betrayed Luna's Return

“I gathered my men so we could come and offer our help.” Eleanor was surprised to hear that. They might have collaborated in ambushing Jonathan, but that was only because they each had their own interests. Thomas had wanted his sister back, while Eleanor had been interested in Mia and Jonathan. They were by no means friends. Now that Nessa was back, there was no need for Thomas to work with her. “That’s very nice of you,” she told him. “Although I thought you would be more likely to stand back and watch as my pack burned to the ground. Wouldn’t that be good for you?”

Ashes of Love; Fire of Vengeance

Ashes of Love; Fire of Vengeance

When he asks Thomas if there is another chair, Thomas just shakes his head without answering. He, himself sits silently across from us, a faint, sly smile tugging at his lips. He doesn’t even have a proper chair, just a small stool. A dirty, worn-out shirt hangs loosely on him. Robert Nelson is a millionaire lawyer. But his own elder brother is practically living in a slum. Ignoring Watson, I lower myself onto the half-broken chair. He almost jumps up. “This is risky for you.” I meet his gaze, no response. Just an angry stare.

Carefree God of War

Carefree God of War

Nelson’s hatred for Nicholas spanned from a long time ago. Jed said, “Now that things have progressed to this stage, it’s useless even if you say anything else. Mr. Nelson, please remain calm and think of a way to get rid of Thomas. Also, we can’t expose ourselves. If Nicholas notices that something is off, it’ll be truly over for us.” Nelson scoffed, “I know!” He threw his head back and exhaled long and hard before he said, “Thomas has truly achieved something. We can’t pretend that we don’t know anything about it.”

The story is fast paced unlike most of the stories. I am thrilled to read each chapter. While the plot is similar with other novels of the same genre, I love the way the author develops each character. I also love it very much that chapters are longer and require less coins to open.

I don't think it is right to just quit from ur title being god of war. You have so much effort and sacrifices just to be in that title. Hardships in life will not end how can you depend your love ones if you are that powerless. Maybe you can leave temporarily but not resigned.

The Third Book

The Third Book

When she came back, she found Cela sitting beside a big balikbayan box looking disappointed. "You found them," Nanny Rita said. "So they bought a lot of copies of my book," Cela said in a dismayed tone. "They were very supportive especially your mother," Nanny Rita explained. "How about the second book?" Cela asked. Nanny Rita sighed. She knows her too well so she's careful with her words. "I am not sure if your brother already ordered but he has plans," she answered. Cela remains disappointed.

A Werewolf's Growth and Redemption

added another young man, his tone laced with unease, as if Nelson’s defiance had left them feeling utterly helpless. Listening to their complaints, I found myself at a loss for words. While I had heard rumors of Nelson's difficult nature, I had always struggled to believe them; after all, how could someone so starkly different from Neil be his brother? Yet now, hearing firsthand accounts from these frontline workers, it became evident that Nelson's reputation for being "troublesome" was not without merit. I began to accept the possibility that he might indeed be a rather challenging individual.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

He turned toward the sound of Peanut laughing. Elena smiled. "She sleeps now because you're here." Thomas didn't know what to say. He simply sat quietly. Trying to understand. Then tiny footsteps hurried into the room. Peanut. Of course. She carried a large book almost bigger than herself. Very proudly. Very dramatically. She dropped it onto Thomas's lap. With a loud thump. He blinked. "What is this?" "My favorite." Thomas looked at the worn cover. It had clearly been read many times. The edges were soft.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

Love, Covid and Everything in Between

Me: oh shut up Nelson: looks like he could be my type Me: no, i don’t think so Nelson: theoretically, he could be. ;) he’s playful and cute and CONSIDERATE! Me: you call that considerate? Nelson: come on, give him the benefit of the doubt. he could’ve really wanted the book. but he gave it up. so i say, he’s kind. Me: he’s not! are you on my side or what? Nelson was the only person I could talk freely to about anything.

Frequently Asked Questions

The first thing that comes to mind about 'The Story of Nelson' is how it captures the essence of naval heroism in a way that feels both grand and deeply personal. This book dives into the life of Horatio Nelson, one of Britain's most celebrated naval commanders, but it doesn't just list battles and dates—it paints a vivid picture of the man behind the legend. From his early struggles with seasickness to his pivotal role in the Battle of Trafalgar, the narrative weaves together his tactical brilliance, his tumultuous personal life, and the unshakable loyalty he inspired in his crew. It's a story of resilience, ambition, and the kind of flawed humanity that makes history feel alive.

What really struck me was how the book balances Nelson's professional triumphs with his personal vulnerabilities. His romance with Emma Hamilton, for instance, is portrayed with such nuance—it's not just a scandalous affair but a relationship that humanizes him. The author doesn't shy away from his ego or his recklessness, yet you can't help but admire his unwavering determination. The descriptions of naval warfare are so immersive, you almost hear the cannons and smell the saltwater. By the end, you're left with this bittersweet appreciation for a man who shaped history but paid a steep personal price.
