THE LUNA HE SWORE TO KILL
“Please…” Ariana whispered, her hands shaking as the marriage contract was pushed in front of her. “You can’t sell me to him.”
“You should be grateful,” her stepmother snapped. “A man like Alpha Kael could’ve chosen anyone.”
The room went silent when the door opened.
Heavy footsteps crossed the floor slowly.
Ariana looked up for the first time and wished she hadn’t.
The man standing there didn’t look human.
Tall, Cold, Dressed in black. His presence alone made the air feel thinner.
Alpha Kael stopped in front of her.
“So this is the girl,” he said.
Ariana lowered her eyes quickly.
“I didn’t kill anyone,” she whispered.
Kael gave a short laugh.
“That’s interesting,” he said. “Because I haven’t told you what crime you committed yet.”
Her breath caught.
“From today onward,” he continued, “you will live in my house, follow my rules, and pray I never discover the full truth about you.”
Ariana swallowed hard. “And if you do?”
Kael stared at her for a moment before answering.
“Then your death will be the kindest thing I give you.”
