CHAPTER NINE -ANTONIO- Thorin nodded, his stern expression softening. He rushed over to Kinnsion and Eris, and for a brief moment the two broke off their make out session. "Prince Kinnsion, Eris," Thorin said urgently, "we need your help with something." Kinnsion frowned, meeting Thorin's gaze before glancing at me and Lady Basia. "What's wrong? Can't you see I am busy with my mate?" he asked, his eyes flickering with annoyance.

He nodded and stared at me in confusion. “They're spying on the monster's army and throwing spears at it." He added. My heart froze at his words. That was as good as suicide. “And how long has this been going on," I asked. "I dunno. Five days." Thorin's face immediately went pale. "They took my brother and his friend Jack on the second day. My mom still cruises over it." He said sorrowfully. My heart went out to him, and I knelt before him.

"We don't know who this person is; he always sends his messenger to deliver the message." "You risked your lives for a man who you've never even seen,” Thane commented, clearly amused by their stupidity “What is the name of his messenger?" "I don't know," the man said. Thane wasn't satisfied with that answer. He unsheathed his dagger, "Thorin—the messenger's name was... Thorin." The man stuttered out. "Good”, Thane says, retreating. “When was the last time you spoke to him?" "Three days ago, that had been before we got into this pack."

Its design mimicked thorned vines, elegant yet malevolent. “What is this?” I whispered, horror spreading across my face as I stared into the mirror. Xareth's reflection appeared behind me, calm, composed. His breath grazed my ear as he leaned in, his smirk spreading like rot. “It's called the Chain of Thorns. He added. “I promise to bring this case closed up sir.” Jessica said blankly. “That's a promise Miss!” “It must be kept!” Mr Troy said. “The case as you've been made to know involves a billionaire family, owners of the TRIX company and the biggest philanthropist in this part of the world. The CEO - Phillip Thorne.” Mr Troy said handing over the case file to Jessica. She stretched out and got the file to read properly and understand the case. “It says here he's married and with a child.”
