The reflection in the dice cup showed a man signaling with a throat-slitting gesture.

Lyla replies, nibbling on her lips. “Here,” I dragged the stool and sat on it. “I'll teach you.” I open the pack of cards, pleased at how attentive she is. After I shuffle them, I place the stack in front of me. “This game is different from what you know.” I informed her. “I'll pick a card and hide it. We each have three guesses to say which card it is. After three guesses, if you don't get it, you take off a piece of clothing.”

Darren protested, "No, why are you all fighting after me? Don't play like that." "Thirty thousand dollars, anyone else?" "Take one." Daron took the twelve thousand from Renea's hand. "That's a license to eat cards." Renea nodded in understanding. "When you eat a card, you can't take another card, just play one out." Before Daron finished speaking, Renea directly hit the only remaining single eight in her hand. Daron didn't even have time to stop, his heart tightening.
