I can’t help but chuckle at what I see. Rose’s POV Walking into the billion dollar kitchen – I still can not help but marvel at it’s absolute beauty. “Wow” I gasp as I lay eyes on the large kitchen window. The sky is a black pit of darkness – its tiny stars twinkle so lightly , that you may need to strain your eyes a bit to see them. I move towards the window slowly , I am truly mesmerized by this enchanting sight. I place my both hands on the window – and very childishly smush my face on the transparent glass. I can feel how hot my breath is as it heats up my face – the surround glass around my face becomes misty.

I want to go back to my room. When entering the room, I locked my bedroom door tight and walked towards the window. I took a harsh breath of oxygen as if I didn't want to share it with anyone else. My chest was tight from running, and my wounds were stinging even more. But I can still hold on well. My eyes swept the view of the twilight outside of my window. The hills are visible, and the orange sky is also perfectly painted. The sun is almost half set. "I didn't do anything really, anyone who heard me. Trust me," I shouted.

I was unharmed and they weren't hurting me at all. I walked across the room and looked out my window with bars on it and I saw someone shining through the woods in the distance. Like the sun was reflecting off of something. I couldn't make out what it was though. It was strange. I strained to see what it was, but it was too far into the woods. Past Jackson's patrols.

I got up from my bed and walked towards the window. Parting the curtains to the side, the blinding light of the sun piercing through the window panes made me close my eyes for a moment. I closed my eyes tightly then opened them slowly until I got adjusted to the glare. The moment I gazed into the distance, all I could see was the rich and sprawling greeneries below the wide canopy of the sky, animated by its sailing, fluffy clouds. From where I stood, it looked like I was on top of a hill overlooking the rolling stretch of farms and plain below.

The photograph was not taken from inside my room. It was taken through the window. From outside. The angle came in low and slightly to the left, catching my desk and the edge of my bed and the sunflowers on the sill, but the glass itself was visible at the very edge of the frame, a thin reflective line I had missed the first time because my eyes went straight to the dead flowers and stopped there. Through the window. Not inside.

Mia's POV The morning sun was shining through the window of my office, casting a faint golden glow on the polished wooden floor. I sat behind my desk, the remnants of last night’s work scattered in front of me—a half-empty glass of whiskey, crumpled maps, and notes detailing our upcoming plans.

I might not be a match for him if Luke is beaten by him and that's if I get there in time. Austin is going to kill me. I go to the window anyway. The side of the pack house is there, where the pack trains when the weather is nice. I open the window, wincing when it squeaks. It opens wider than I thought it would, it'll be easy for me to slip through.

Elara'S POV “Good morning, miss.” Maeve brought me a tray for breakfast and quickly retreated as soon as I opened my mouth to ask more questions. I sighed. She wasn’t going to give me any answers. Alone, in silence, I ate while staring out the window. Snow drifted down with a hypnotizing allure as I watched one large, fluffy flake after another pass my window and disappear into the whiteness below. I’d tried to open it, to determine if it was a potential escape route, but it wasn’t that type of window. The single pane of glass was solidly anchored in the wall.

I dried off and grabbed my nightgown off the couch. Apart from the lighting in the bathroom, I noticed light filtering into the bathroom from the window. I walked closer to the window and grabbed the table beside the window and climbed on it. Penny hurried to help steady it and she held on to it, so I wouldn't fall. I stared longingly out the window as I took in the view. I smiled sadly. “It's daybreak.” I murmured. My heart ached. I couldn't see anything. I mean…the only thing I could see was the club.

Even if I were to miss the tree, I wouldn’t likely break anything, especially since we have large topiaries against the brick walls. I should be fine. I can do the only thing between me and freedom is a pane of glass and a simple screen. It’s worth the risk. Even if I fall, I’ll at least be free. The latch springs open easily. The window is stiff, but with a little force, it is soon open wide enough for me to slither through.
