After entering the Ruin inside the 'cursed-valley', they hunted several beasts. They also realized that the ruin was enormous from inside. Along the way, they encountered several turns and pathways. Thought they were closely sticking with each other, but after some time they come across an empty hall. Many broken and corroded statues were present in the hall. They also encounter an extremely deep well in the middle of the hall.

At least I knew I screamed a lot before it happened but this time I couldn’t remember a thing. The vanity mirror which had survived it the first time caught my attention; but this time instead of standing royally like it used to, it now laid on the floor in a pile of molten gold which had hardened again to form nothing worthwhile, but gold all the same. The smell of burnt ruins filled my nostrils as I tried to get up and I began coughing violently as it almost suffocated me. Looking around and deciding that there was nothing left to take, I quickly wrapped my bodice around me and walked out of the ruins like a person stepping out of a horror movie scene.

I turned to the driver and said, "Return to the firm; if I need to go back there later, I'll just call you. I had not stopped moving toward the white temple. and examined it. The only thing visible is the cement of the temple, which is the only thing left standing. I just made my way to the sea's edge by walking along the Rocks. I removed my heels in order to avoid tripping on the rocks. When I sit on a large rock that is slightly elevated, I can view the entire blue sea.

My gaze drifted to the black suit he wore, the very one that had started all of this. "Then throw that suit away," I said softly. "I'll make you a new one." He nodded without hesitation, his eyes tender, full of hope. "Okay." For a while, I truly believed life would go on peacefully from there. But then, Vincent appeared. At first, he only lingered near our home, standing at a distance with a dark, brooding stare fixed on our windows. Soon, though, he began to lose control, shouting, raging, completely out of his mind.

The sky didn't just break; it delaminated. As the violet-charged sand from the Lung-Engines surged into the petrified atmosphere, the solidified air began to peel away in jagged, skyscraper-sized shards of "Logic-Glass." The sound was a continuous, earth-shaking chime, the sound of a trillion crystalline bonds snapping simultaneously. Below the Spire, the "Sea of Glass" reacted to the falling debris by surging upward in jagged frozen waves, creating a landscape of translucent ruins that looked like the skeletal remains of a god.

The hollow became their crucible. Mist clung to the broken stone like breath held too long, and the air was thick with the scent of damp roots and the faint metallic tang of spent magic. Morning light filtered in through jagged holes in the collapsed ceiling, falling in pale shafts across the mossy floor. The ruin seemed to watch them—an ancient place, old enough to remember witchfire, wolf blood, and vampire shadow. Old enough to know they were remaking the world inside it.

Broken glass crunches under my boots. "They will pay for this. Every last one of them." Colin tilts his head, but he does not interrupt. I turn from the shattered table and storm toward the far wall where the black root vines twist from the ceiling like veins. I speak an ancient command, and the vines part slowly, revealing a mirror made from moonstone shards. It shows the world beyond the Hollow. The forest. The Starlight Pack’s path. I can almost smell the smugness rolling off them as they return home, victorious.

Silver flames burned along the walls without heat, casting eerie light across hundreds of kneeling figures below. Hollows. Thousands of them. Their heads bowed in absolute silence. And at the center of it all. me. No. Her. The first Queen of Ruin sat upon a throne of obsidian, draped in dark armor lined with glowing cracks. A silver crown rested upon her head like it belonged there. Like it had never belonged anywhere else. Her face slowly lifted. And I was staring at myself. Same eyes. Same face. Only colder. Older. Broken in ways I couldn’t understand.

POV EMMA BELLE The valley floor was a bowl of white quartz and translucent stone, hence its name. But today, the crystals weren't shimmering with the pride of a kingdom; they were clouded, the once-pristine surfaces etched with the soot of old fires and the moss of neglect. The ruins of the Great Manor stood at the far end, a skeleton of obsidian pillars and collapsed marble that looked like a ribcage rising from the earth. "It hasn't changed," Kaelen whispered, his voice sounding hollow as he rode beside me. He was staring at the doorway where he had last seen our mother alive. "The silence... it’s exactly the same as the night I was taken."
