I gingerly wrapped my hands around him, hugging him tightly, trying to convey some sense of comfort. His hands immediately went around me, locking me in a tight hug. I stifled a gasp, shocked at how hot his skin was against mine. It was like embracing a burning flame, and yet, I didn't pull away. He buried his face into the crook of my neck, turning around so I was pinned underneath him. Heavens, but he was heavy! All the air in my lungs had been squeezed out, but I didn't dare move. Even as he kept rubbing his face against my shoulders, I didn't move a finger, holding my breath as I said a silent prayer to the heavens.
