Drake flashed a toothy smile at her, revealing a perfect set of white teeth that nearly made her trip on her toes. "Alright let's gear you all up!" Drake announced, getting into his horse keeper duty mode. His handsome face was marred with concentration as he walked towards the trunk bag on the ground and stoop down, zipping the bag open in adept urgency and pulling out the esquire protective gears. He handed Mr Jordan his own first and then Janice. Reluctantly she took them off his grip, looking at the safety gears awkwardly. Drake quirked an eyebrow at her.

Raindrops beaded on his shoulders, glinting like scattered diamonds under the dim lights. "Boss." Drake approached quickly, but there was a noticeable hesitation in his movements. He was trying to hide his right hand behind his back, wincing as he spoke. His face was pale beneath the harsh lights, and a thin sheen of sweat covered his brow. "Apologies, Boss. There was a minor malfunction with the detonator during the breach. My right hand took the brunt of the recoil—cracked a bone. I can't lead the way properly tonight."
