Because she had come back too— Back from ten years in the future. *** Half a month later, Jace had lost over ten pounds. He looked like a shadow of himself. Robert finally gave in and promised that after the SATs, he could go find Nadia. So the second the SATs were over, Jace got on a flight overseas. During that time, Faye had tried reaching out to him several times. He ignored every message. He moved through each day like a shell of himself. Robert, meanwhile, released the surveillance footage from before the staged kidnapping.

"We need to talk." I sat up. Reaper grabbed weapon from nightstand. Aimed. "Who the hell are you?" The woman smiled. Sad. Knowing. "I'm Eva Morrison. From twenty years in the future. And I'm here to stop you from making the worst mistake of your life." My blood went cold. "That's impossible. Time travel doesn't—" "Doesn't exist?" Future Eva laughed. "You became consciousness prison. You merged with dimensional entity. You survived being consumed. And time travel is where you draw the line?"

He selected the timeline, found the weakest spot on that space and started the portal. Time-portal was an invention of the old man. It is different from time-travelling machine. Time-travelling machine needs one to be on the same place as one’s destination. If you want to know what Earth is like in its early years, you need to be on Earth when you used the time-travelling machine in order to do so. Time-portal has no need for this. It is a combination of the latter and space portal. You don’t need to be on the same place as your destination if you want to know its future or past. It can be used from any place.

‘I am just like you. ‘You’re a ghost.’ ‘You’re right,’ she answered. ‘But you are also wrong,’ ‘I don’t get it,’ ‘What did you see the first time you saw me in your dream?’ ‘A clock,’ ‘I am a time traveler just like you.’ ‘A time traveler?’ ‘I came from the past,’ ‘Are you dead?’ ‘I died in my present,’ she said. ‘But I am also here in the future, and today is your present.’

“So, if they’re referring to time travel, then, they simply say time travel?” “Generally, it’s just travel,” he explained. “A person will travel forward in time or backward in time. So, they’ll say forward travel or backward travel.” “What about traveling from place to place in the same time. Like I’ve been doing?” I asked. “Teleportation,” he replied. “I knew that,” I giggled. “I’m sure you did,” he grinned. “That, and a whole lot more.” I raised a brow. “What are you saying?”

Eloise sat frozen, heart aching, eyes brimming with tears. Frantically, she searched her phone for answers, most of them confusing—until one article stood out. She tapped it. A bold heading appeared: “Understanding the Effects of Time Travel.” “This is it,” she whispered, reading on. Time travelers often feel fear and confusion, as if trapped in a vivid dream. That sounded familiar. But the next lines chilled her: “Time travel can offer second chances, but sometimes it becomes a cruel loop—forcing people to relive trauma and loss.”

"We need to go back" "I think I know why you guys are back." Nathaniel trailed off after a minute of thinking about it, "...The weird thing about your mind time traveling or your dream consciousness was the limits. You can go forwards as far as you want, but backward only works as far as the present day, or the time you left. Traveling back from "now" was impossible as if the continuum was chopped right off - like we are sitting on a moving dot and can only "bungee jump" forwards and backward back and forth.

He told me to calm down first, take water and speak with patience. I, " Sir, I have a very good plan. The rocket which was going to be completed this month can be used to get enough energy for the time machine .
