Ancient runes pulsed faintly beneath the marble floor like veins beneath skin. Titan stood by the towering glass ceiling window, hands clasped behind his back as he overlooked the winding staircases below and beyond them—the ancient forest. Even from here, it felt restless tonight. His silver eyes narrow slightly. “Did the forest react to her presence?” he asks at last.

Their heads were sensor clusters glowing with a singular red eye. Their right arms ended in rotary cannons. Their left arms were anti-riot shock prods, crackling with enough electricity to jumpstart a city. "Titans!" Ben screamed, his voice muffled by the mask. "We can't fight those! Small arms are useless!" The Titans stepped onto the maintenance rails. They didn't need to walk the bridge; they had magnetic clamps on their boots. They walked heavily along the walls, flanking the team, their cannons spinning up with a sound like tearing canvas.

Even from here I can see the fresh scratches all over his shoulders and back, some of them still bleeding. “You fucked her,” I snap, walking straight over. Titan turns with a lazy grin. “Oh come on. He pushed her out of the room and I saw you go after him. Seemed only fair she got properly railed.”
