Despite my weariness, a spark of anticipation ignites within me as I reach for the cloth bag, eager to discover its contents. Opening the cloth bag, I'm greeted by a remarkable army green dress, decorated with sparkling rhinestones featuring a single sleeve and the corset bodice that cinches at the waist, accentuating my curves, with a dramatic fishtail hem promising to make a statement. As I hold the dress up, I can't help but marvel at its beauty. It's the kind of piece that demands attention, just like Nonna's bold fashion choices. With a smile, I slip into the dress, feeling a surge of confidence wash over me.

I pulled the dress out of the bag and was surprised. “Holy shit,” I whispered when I realized it was one of the dresses I had saved on a P*******t board from a few of my novels. It was a vintage Versace dress from '95. It was a red pleated dress that was known as the Medusa dress because one of the straps had the Medusa head motif. The fabric was a cardinal red, like a satin finish. The dress was long and had a draped side closure that left a leg opening in the front; it had an asymmetrical neckline as well as a straight hem.

Heather chimed in, " it is hot, but what about that baby blue one with the sparkle." "I don't want to sparkle. This isn't a pageant." Alexandra said, running her fingers along the hem of a deep plum gown. " Something sexy but classy, maybe?" "Girl, we got you," Heather said before looping her arms with Alexandra. She got to make a good impression. The trio moved around the store in a flurry of laughter and smiles. Soon they had a stack of dresses and made their way to the dressing room. What preceded was an amateur fashion show that would put 90s rom-com montages shame. Even the sales staff giggled here and there at the girl's antics.

" I know you want him as much as he does. I know my son loves you more than anything."

I reply, and she shakes her head. "Bullshit," she snarks at me as she walks into my closet and pulls out a short black dress. I look at it and shake my head. It was the last dress that Tobias bought for me. It's Valentino, and it's absolutely beautiful. "Giiiiiirl, this is stunning," She says, and I nod my head, grabbing the dress from her hands and hanging it back in the closet. "What are you doing?" Beth asks, stopping me. I look at her with tears threatening to spill.

I ask, gesturing to the rack. Atlas walks up behind me and hands me a cold glass, "I ordered in some dresses for you to pick out for tonight. You can't go dressed in that." I look down at my navy pant suit and nod in agreement. No one would take me seriously in this. "So, pick one," He says, urging me to flip through the dresses. I take a sip of the drink before handing the glass back to Atlas. I run my fingers along each dress, feeling the soft fabric under my skin. All of them are casual floor length dresses, no crazy colors or insane designs.

Adrik had sent me a dress through one of the maids with a stern warning to not miss any of the dress code. My hand caressed the dress on my body. It was a red, long, body con dress that hugged my figure perfectly. Bonus points for not showing a baby bump yet. The sleeves were ruffled and a slit ran from the middle of my thigh down to the tail of the dress. It certainly wasn’t a new one and I could tell from the faint perfume that lingered there, that it was a prominent figure that wore the dress last.

Weekend:- Hailey entered the venue, catching everyone's attention in a stunning gown that exuded both elegance and mystery. The dress was a rich, deep burgundy shade that almost appeared black in certain lights, with intricate black lace detailing that added a touch of sophistication. The bodice was fitted, with an asymmetrical neckline that left one shoulder bare, emphasizing her graceful collarbone and neck. The full, voluminous skirt flowed down, adorned with delicate embellishments that sparkled subtly as she moved.
