She had never seen Raphael so angry, and she knew she was in trouble. She immediately changed her attitude, trying to play the victim, acting like she hadn't intended to hurt me or the little girl. But Raphael wasn't buying it. He was furious, his eyes blazing with anger as he glared at Riezel. She started to cry, trying to manipulate him into feeling sorry for her, but Raphael wasn't having it.

I whip around, teeth bared, a snarl ripping out of my chest before the words even register. And there he is, Raphael my nemesis standing casually in the shadows of the cell, as if he’s been waiting all along. His expression is calm, almost amused, his eyes glittering with cruel satisfaction. My arms tighten protectively around Raven, pulling her closer to me. My heart is a thunderstorm, my veins lightning. “You,” I growl, my voice shaking with fury. “What did you do to her?” Raphael steps closer, unhurried, deliberate. His smile curves like a knife.
