They threw punches, kicked shins, and bared their teeth, desperately trying to keep the swarm from pulling the willow down. "I am finished," Tola whispered in my mind. Her voice sounded hollow, completely drained of its usual arrogance. "Make sure the males are connected. Right now." My brain scrambled. "What are you talking about? Connected how?" "Just do it, Betty. Now." "Ian!" I screamed down through the branches, the wind knocking the breath from my lungs. "Touch them! Make sure you and the guys are touching as many rogues as possible! Tola is doing something!"

Madam Amelia seemed to know this as she nodded her head at me. “Now what? You can’t break your vow. What will you do? You can’t have a Wolf Rider running around Astoria.” There it was. She knew what her daughter was. The half human part of it was the least of it. The fact that she was a Rider—a creature that could control a werewolf with a simple command. A creature that ruined my family's life. A creature, who must be destroyed before it gains power. There hasn't been a rider born in half a century, and even before, there was only one that ruled Astoria.

Gina muttered in a whisper, but loud enough for me to hear. “And still, it takes two to tango” I replied, my face void of expression. I watched her try to figure out what I really meant by my reply. I knew Gina had some information about me and Alexa, but what she wasn't aware of was the fact that I never made moves without taking down the costs. “What do you mean?” She finally asked, as I brought the car to a halt at the car park of Colombo's Palatial.

signaling to the chauffeur to drive "Where are we heading?" I inquired. "Airport," Alessandro said flatly, typing on his phone. "But what about my belongings?" I inquire. Alessio raises his head to meet my gaze and smiles before shrugging. "We are already carrying it," Alessandro remarked, shrugging his shoulders.

He frowned seeing the huge totem on the middle that seemed to be humming, letting out faint ghastly voices, making him stare at it for a few moments. “My lord?” a soldier greeted him grumble seeing several soldiers started to take notice. Having returned to his previous thought, he hastily looked around, scouring the camp. Carriages were set around making it easy for him to choose which to go to. The one that caught his attention was the metal carriage that seemed to glow that made his skin crawl, the engravings of women, skeletons, and demons on it returned several memories into him, making him move with haste. His legs though seemed to be failing a few moments ago once again found power as

Especially not when he was stood with a rogue himself. "You can't exactly judge," I replied as I pointed to the guy. "He was part of Moon Shadow prior to their downfall. He just hasn't been fully accepted into the pack," Luca said. I could see his fists clenched at his side and I could hear the way in which he was controlling his breathing which only served to make me smile to myself.

Julia said while laughing. "Of course, I listen. What do you think of me?" He scoffed. "We also need to prepare a good packaging to attract customers, and maybe we can have a free taste to our classmates maybe they'll like it and would want to order," I suggest. "Very good!" Julia laughed. I can see how excited she is. "The name? Any idea? "Austin asked, looking at us. "Our name,” Julia said, smiling at herself. “Cara plus Julia is equal to Caia" Her eyes are smiling with excitement.

"Good morning class. We have a new student amongst us today. Can you please stand and introduce yourself?" I confidently stand up from my seat beside Thea. "Hello everyone. I'm Onda. Onda Silver Thorne." "Talk about weird names." A male voice behind me says causing some people to snicker. I ignore him and continue. “I’m 17 years old and I’m from…” I can’t say Zorah now can I? Say Australia. "Australia?" That came out more as a question. "Where in Australia?" The teacher asks. Katherine. "Katherine?" That also came out as a question.

Elder Montague is not hard to miss as he is sat on the head dais and Nova is making a beeline straight for him, a worrying look of glee on her face. The room is full of noise and shouts, mainly from the elders shouting questions such as “what is the meaning of this?” and “What right do you have to do this?”. One of the reasons we entered like we had was to confuse them too much for it to occur to anyone to shift before we could get the silver cuffs on them. It seemed to be working as no there wasn’t a wolfs hair in sight, so far.

I looked at my time, he was ten minutes late or was I too early? “Mr Xavier, the dragon of all dragons, lord of the rings”, someone snickered making me glance up. It was that fat and dirty Mo Tang who, respectfully, had no neck. “You are late”, I said and he shrugged, he sat opposite me, his belly bulging at his slightest movement, he had piercings all over his face and his tattoos weren't scars but obscene drawings. “I'm so sorry, I should be killed” “Cut the crap, you know why I'm here”, I said and he poured me wine. I looked at it and smirked. Typical Chines. The wine swayed looking absolutely normal, but to say the least I knew what it was … it was poisoned.
