Addicted To My Moonshine
Whenever I was apprehensive, my knees wouldn't stop shaking.
“Sorry, son” I tried to stop the shaking and smiled at him.
Mom laughed in amusement. “My grandson is very smart.” For a five-year-old, he was much smarter and more mature. “Do you know your Mom used to have the same haircut as yours when she was younger?”
My cheeks reddened in embarrassment. “Mom! This is completely out of the blue.”
“Tell me more, granny!”
I used to be a tomboy till primary school and kept my hair short. People sometimes — most of the time— mistook me as a boy, and frustrated it was then I decided to get my act together.
