Then the fire pushed harder. My silver shield began to crack. Theodore stepped closer, pouring his power into mine. “Hold it!” But the creature kept pushing. The fire grew stronger. Too strong. I growled, knowing he was going to try to give it to me again. That's not happening! I pulled back from the bottle and spit a ball of fire towards his pants, catching it on fire as I kept spitting balls at it.
