At this Grace started to sob and hugged her Granddad. “That’s it, Love, let it all out!” Tony said rubbing her back. After a few minutes, Grace had let out all the tension and stopped crying. Tony handed her a tissue and Grace accepted gratefully. Grace dried her eyes and blew her nose. “Feel better?” Tony asked. “Yes, thanks!” Grace said with a smile. “That’s better! Now shall we put Xan out of his misery and call him over here?” Tony said with a glint of mischief in his eye.

"Or trying to beat his grief into submission. Hard to tell the difference anymore." They enter the cave to find Stark slamming his fists into the stone wall repeatedly. His knuckles are bloody, his shirt torn, his hair wild. He doesn't stop when they enter, doesn't even acknowledge their presence. "Stark," Kara says. "You have a visitor." "Not interested," Stark growls, hitting the wall harder. "It's about the girl." Stark's fists freeze mid-strike. For a long moment, he doesn't move. Then slowly, painfully, he turns around. His eyes are bloodshot, his face gaunt, and Derek is shocked by how broken the vampire prince looks.

This is all my fault. Tania… she’s crazy. I’m so sorry." I sob, my words barely coherent through my tears.

I ordered, and got into the car, slamming the door. "Have you been crying?" Tony asked, as my eyes were probably red from crying. "No, I'm –" I could complete my sentence, as my emotions overwhelmed me, and I burst out crying. "Hey, T. What's wrong?" Tony asked, worry laced in his voice. "Is something wrong with your pup?" At the mention of the word pup, the sadness overtook me, and I could no longer take it anymore, as I wailed in a flood of uncontrollable tears.

But he didn’t see me and even if he did, I couldn’t. I already promised Olivia and it wouldn’t be fair to take Jack away from her now. I ducked into the restroom and locked myself in the last stall, letting the door close very gently before I leaned against it and slid down to the floor. The moment my back hit the door, the tears came in hot and uncontrollable. I covered my mouth with both hands, trying to muffle the sounds of my sobbing but it was of no use as everything was crumbling. Just when I thought Tony was different. I mean, he gave me his shoulders to cry on, listened to me and comforted me. And just a day later, he’s shattering it all over again.

I let him vent. I let him curse. If that would ease his pain a little. Then, I felt his shoulders shake. Tony was crying. It was my undoing. I turned around to cup his face in my hands.
