They navigated down a passage filled with plush toys, and Kendall's eyes widened. “Hey, check out this one!” She extended her hand, displaying a plush, cuddly bear with a red bow tied around its neck. Jason raised an eyebrow. “A teddy bear? You think that’s the way to go?” Kendall gave him a mock glare. “Of course! Every kid loves a good teddy bear. They’re timeless.” She held it out to him, as if daring him to argue. “Timeless, huh?” Jason took the bear, giving it an appraising look. “Alright, I can see the appeal.” He put the bear into the cart, and Kendall’s triumphant smile made him chuckle.

"Hey, what's wrong? Don't cry." Through my sobs, I managed, "Molly has a gift for you. Happy birthday, Jared." I pressed the doll into his hands. He looked down at the bear in surprise. I had sewn up the holes and cleaned it as best I could, making it look like any ordinary toy again. "A Teddy Bear?" he asked, curious. "Yes. Molly said you had an outfit just like his, right down to the same brown curls," I sniffed, struggling to keep my voice from cracking.

Tanya screamed in excitement. She quickly ran back to the machine to pick the toy. Seeing it was really out, she had a big smile on her face. Words can't explain joy, happy she was at the moment. Everyone also had a smile on their faces seeing her smile. Her smile was like the shining sun in the sky. “Congratulations miss. You really took the toy out. Here's your prize.” A staff member said as he handed a giant pink Teddy bear to tanya. Tanya's smile couldn't grow any wider as she happily took the giant teddy bear from the staff.

“We’re just keeping her safe.” Jenni smirks, clearly delighted to challenge him. “Oh, of course. Just keeping her ‘safe’ with the subtlety of a three-man SWAT team.” Demitri’s lips twitch as if he’s fighting back a grin, and Lucas chuckles. “She might have a point there.” Before Demitri can respond, Jenni’s already diving into the pile of gifts, picking up a ridiculously over-the-top stuffed bear and holding it up. “Look at this! Who even sends a bear this big?”

We also tried the various booths in the amusement park, like the one where you shoot small shoulder toys, and if you hit them all, you win a life-sized teddy bear. "Urgh! Damn! Why can't I hit even one of those things?" Ero frustratedly exclaimed, making me laugh. He gave me a sour look. I just shrugged; I don't know what's up with that guy, why he's making so much effort to win a life-sized teddy bear when he could just buy one! "Why do you even want to get that? With all the money you have, you could buy as many as you want!" He didn't pay attention to me and continued shooting the toys, but he couldn't hit a single one. Haha.

He held the stuffed toy in his hands, before raising his arms to be picked up. Gael obliged, setting the little boy and his bear on his knee, a steadying hand on his back. “Benny the bear, huh? Is this your favorite toy?” Hudson nodded solemnly. The bear itself was nothing special, Gael could tell that it was one of those standard toys that were sold in grocery stores and simple convenience stores, and the regular brown stitching had long since worn out.

We stop by a small shopping center partly for toys and clothes, partly just to walk. Agnor insists on buying some toys for Alex and keeps him busy. “This one for mommy!” Alex beams, pointing at a big soft toy on the top shelf. “Oh, no Alex. Mommy doesn't need any toys” I tell him politely but Agnor is already reaching for the toy. “Agnor, I don't–” my words die down when he waves the toy in front of me. “Hi, I'm Bear. Will you be my friend?” Agnor mimics, offering the toy’s hand to me.

Number one its huge, two it's around six hundred dollars and three she already has three at home. Not wanting to get involved I look around, I miss being a child; this brings back a few memories. Out the corner of my eye is pot a huge turquoise and purple stuffed toy. I turn so quick I'm shocked I didn't get a whiplash. My eyes widen, a huge Sully from Monsters Inc. I make my way to it and check the price tag, that makes me look away. Like I'm crazed I look at it then away and at it again, it's staring at me. I've always wanted a life sized Sully, he just looks so cuddly, especially when he's with Boo.

"Congratulations, Harriet Underwood! You've won a horse plushie. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth!" Startled, I froze in place. A hint of impatience flickered across the emcee's face. She shoved the plushie into my arms and forced me offstage. The cheap plushie in my hands felt rough to the touch, and the price tag hanging on its back still read five dollars. I recalled what was written on the slip earlier and knew I hadn't misread it. I was about to go onstage to explain when thunderous applause broke out across the hall. "Congratulations, Katie Thorpe! You've won first prize this year—a three-day trip to Marosa!"
